In BizHawk, you need to first close your current project before you can initiate a new one. That's a moment when you save it. After that, you can create a new one. The act of erasure only happens if you agree to overwrite an existing one while saving, so be attentive and don't hesitate to give your TASproj a meaningful name to avoid accidental overwrites
