I submitted the wrong movie file by accident. Please replace with this one, which is 1.7 seconds faster with a 1:17.510 final time.
My first Windows submission. This was just more of a test TAS to familiarize myself with the new developments in Windows TASing through BizHawk. Overall, I found various aspects of the process a bit tedious/cumbersome so this doesn't mean I'll be coming out of retirement to do more. A Windows 98 OS with a 1999 hardware preset was selected due to the faster apparent load times.

Game Completion

The goal is to find the planet Ms. Frizzle is hiding on based on the clues given from tokens earned when you beat each planet's platforming stage. Well, if she happens to be hiding on the first planet you guess, you win. Simple as that. We advance the Windows clock by 5 seconds at the start of the movie to manipulate RNG and ensure Ms. Frizzle is hiding on the moon (the one with the shortest platforming stage). I want to reiterate that this TAS does in fact beat the game, despite it not looking like we did very much. Although Ms. Frizzle exclaims "Hooray!" when found in this TAS, there's alternate dialogue where she says "Took a chance and won!" instead.

fsvgm777: Replacing the movie file with one that's 1.698 seconds faster.

ikuyo: Claiming for judging.
ikuyo: Hey Winslinator!
Not much to add. Good job, accepting.
fsvgm777: Processing.

I remember playing this back in the day, being as I was a big fan of the animated series running at the same time. Although the differences (most notably the sarcastically chatty Liz featured here during the moon platforming stage) initially threw me off, I eventually got used to the differences and enjoyed the game as it was. I have one question though - do you need to play the platforming stage at all? Can't you just activate the device that's supposed to locate Ms. Frizzle as soon as you land on the moon?

Each token you win from the platforming stages will give you one hint and one chance to guess Ms. Frizzle's location. You can see that the red button we press to locate Ms. Frizzle has a plexiglass cover over it and is therefore inactive until you've inserted your first token.

Hey, Winsley! We're glad to see you back! You could hide the pointer at an edge of the screen during the platforming section, although it doesn't disturb. I've never played this game. For me, it doesn't look entertaining. Voting Meh P.S: you may find this thread interesting in case some Windows games work improperly or slow on 1999 preset.
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the premier. https://xkcd.com/3246/

The installation movie file does not sync for me at all. On four different disc images (including one that is named identically to this submission), it just opens the My Documents folder. I should note the hashes of my exported Windows 98 HDD image match those mentioned on this page. Could you provide us the hashes of your product key, or did you run a different Windows installation movie? This was the one I ran, which gave me the HDD image specified on the page that I linked before. EDIT: ...I actually wonder if the "installation movie" you uploaded is an even older version of the TAS, cause the SHA1 given in the header looks suspiciously identical between it and the submitted TAS (including the improvement), just with a longer run time.

Yup, this is exactly what happened. I accidentally overwrote the install movie at one point while making the actual TAS. I uploaded the correct installation movie under User file #639199876249755049.

Thank you Dimon, there is some very good information in that thread. I've tested quite a few games already that wouldn't run properly, but now this gives me a clearer path forward on how to troubleshoot them.

Thank you, got the TAS (as well as the improvement movie) to sync now.
