Have you ever had a funny moment playing final fantasy? Just today, i was playing Final Fantasy 1(u) on my nintendo. I had just started a new game. I got to level two. I baught myself armor and weapons. Still my damage never went up. Took way too long to level up to level 3. So i went to fight Garland. Died. I was thinking this game is impossible. But i never knew that you had to actually " E- " The item on the character for it to equip... *THUNK*

I can't really think of any funny moments from RPGs that weren't related to the game's plot or literary content. They're all pretty straightforward.

Hint: Give your character a funny name. Examples: He never, to have fun, I failed Possible plot twists: "He never casts a fireball!" "King says: Welcome to my kingdom to have fun!" "Friendly NPC says: I failed! I thought you were dead!" EDIT: Oh, by the way, Final Fantasy is bad because you can't give names long enough.

Better yet, use a swear word. The responses can be priceless.

Indeed, as evidenced by stuff like "Master my ass!", "You can't let that monkey food win!" and "I'm Adelbert Fucker, captain of the Pluto Knights!" I got with FF9 when I was bored.

In Final Fantasy X, the cutscene between Yuna and Rikku once arriving to Zanarkand. Oh man, I was like drooling over that, but that wasn't what I was expecting.

FF7 pc version.. when you are in that aeris death cutscene, you are so sad and serious about that situation even if you already played the whole game alot, and suddenly, there's a glitch that vincent foot mess up ô.o appears inside of his head finishing with all that touching scene XD

This is all I can think of. Some text may be paraphrased. I hope nobody takes offense to it. FF9, near the end of disc 2. "Amarant": Call me whatever you want. Zidane: Hmm.. Lani called you 'Red', right? (Select name for Amarant. Choose "Faggot") "Amarant": Some people call me the Flaming Faggot. Second best was watching my sister jump in fear when she left the sunken plane in FF7 and Emerald Weapon was idling right there.

I've got one of those name things, too. FF6, during the Opera. Ultros: Mwa ha ha! I'll pretend to be a homo, and foil their little plan. (Guess what I named Setzer!)

When I first played FF VII, I died versus Guard Scorpion about 5 times before I finally beat him. Two reasons: 1. I thought Cloud was telling me to attack while the tail was up. 2. I didn't seem to grasp the idea that mechanical enemies were weak against lightning. Ok, more pathetic than funny.

I remember having this cheating device for my Playstation called "XPlorer", kinda like Action Replay. And I had a lot of cheats for Final Fantasy 7, such as invulnerebility and infinite MP and stuff like that. I also had a cheat to have Aeris in your team no matter where you are in the game. The only bug with this cheat was that if you move Aeris to another place with the Order function on the menu, Aeris will replace that team-member and still be in her previous place, so you will have two identical Aeris'. So one time I used that cheat to have Aeris in my team for that Jenova battle before Aeris dies (I hope I didn't spoil the game for anyone by saying this noe ;) ), and then I "cloned" her by moving her to the two other slots. This way I fought Jenova using 3 Aeris'... Pretty funny :). The weirdest thing is, that I once had her in my team when I got to that snowy landscape, you know after you ride the snowboard. And when I just got there, Aeris actally had some programmed lines to say! You could expect that the game would crash if you get there with Aeris in your team, since she shouldn't have any lines to say, but she said "are you okay?" or something right when I landed there.... Weird. :) Oh yes, about naming your character, I once named Cloud in FF7 "Sephiroth". There were quite a lot of funny conversations that way. ;)

Yeah, probably what happened was the development team put that line in for Aeris just in case they decided to kill her off at another point in the game. Or maybe they weren't sure. Either way...

in FF7 there are alot of funny things to analyze ô.o XD like that one, when you use cheats to put aeris back to the team *-* another fun place to put her, is when you go back to the cosmo canyon, to talk with bugenhagen.. everyone talks about her, about her death.. and.. she's there ô.o XD

The german translation from the PlayStation game was so bad. I remember a funny article in the magazin. They first write the long text, what Cloud tell in the game one time. Was very long and I have nothing understand (and it was in german). Then the magazin write a short translation, what he mean. He mean only, that he feel sick (or something similar). And the complete game has a very bad german translation. Was not fun to play. I never understand the full story, because all was so confuse.

You did NOT call the best mage to ever visit a video game after your rear body parts! Meet me at dawn by the woods. You choose the weapons. No timescale or quicksave! ;) I've had some weird moments with the german FF7 "translation" as well. Later I found out that I just had to translate everything literally to english, then I could understand them just fine. no other funny moments except for the usual story mishaps. ff7 was full of them and I still don't understand why many consider it to be the best ff game yet.

And what about the FF7 game mistakes?! In the FMV when you are escaping that shinra building, you get the truck and the motocycle, notice that its written "Midgal" in the truck, instead of "Midgar" XD When cloud let aeris sink into the lake, in his hands she is turned to one side, and when appears that "from the bottom of the lake" camera, she is turned to another side ô.o when aeris is praying inside that rounded thing she is turned to one side with the back to the stairs, when sephiroth kills her, she is faced to the stairs ô.o and much more XD

Wow. Everyone knows about Aeris saying "This guy are sick." but continuity errors... in a CG scene? That's a whole other level of stupidity.
