funniest contest ever, the local commentator swore "look at them, it's quite sure nobody would vote for them, look how ugly they are". but after each vote, he was like "I think I'm going to leave now..." :D haven't laugh like this since a while. (the local candidate he was supporting finished in the last 3, just like every year btw)

Compare Eurovision with Date My Mom. From the little I read, which was very little, Eurovision seems to be like American Idol for bands and Date My Mom seems to compare more to Blind Date.
As for the name of this topic, I imagine allofthese places could freeze over.

Also, I think I saw a music video from Lordi posted somewhere a few weeks ago. Something about a bunch of teens getting killed in a cabin or something. I'm therefore comparing the star of Eurovision (the metal group Lordi that melts faces with guitar solos) and the star of Date My Mom (that really buff mom in that one episode that had a cute daughter or something). With this in mind, I'm going to go ahead and say that the buff mom could tear apart Lordi, which makes Date My Mom the better show*.
*Better is a relative term, and I do not condone anyone watching Date My Mom unless they are terribly terribly bored.

Damn, I missed it. Actually, I planned not to watch it since Iceland lost spectacularly in the semi-finals (or whatever they call it). (and to think that the awful "we are the winners, na na na na na" song actually made it through that... *shudder*)
So, congratulations!
This is like when Three 6 Mafia won an Oscar a couple months ago. Can't help but be happy for the guys. I don't know anything about these guys and I think it's cool that they won just because they are different. American Idol makes me gag.
