But why VBM? VBM's require the ROM. And thats like assuming everyone here has it.

AVIs require a fast upload / download, a place to host large files, appropriate encoding/decoding codecs, and time to encode, which you are just assuming everyone else has. But I'm guessing you don't understand that other people in this world have to manage their time besides you, but it's true, we do! Amazing, isn't it?

Please cease your rude and unreasonable demands. You expect someone to spend however long recording a video, encoding it, finding a host, uploading it, etc., when you won't read a single paragraph of English text explaining why that's unfeasable for a single user who doesn't ask nicely OR offer incentive?
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

A paragraph is like this. l------------------------------------l .............................................. . .. . . . . . Long and dull.

Frozen Dreams, you will be tucked in a rocket and shot out of this community in no time if you keep up this ungrateful and utterly saddening attitude. I'm saying this as a moderator, not as a member. If you are somehow unable to receive help from a fellow forum member (and say thanks), then you shouldn't be asking for it in the first place.

"I don't like to read! I don't want to get a rom! I don't like FOOD anymore!" Stop your damn whining. What are you doing on the internet if you don't like to read? Do you have a text to speech program that reads things to you? Moreover, why the hell are you caring about a TAS to an RPG? Those have LOTS of text. And we'd sure hate to force you to look at words and such. Got news for ya, son - We aren't here to cater to your every demand. If you don't like how things are run, then go the hell away. Trust me, no one will miss you.

But why AVI? AVI's require a movie player and the correct codec. And thats like assuming everyone here has it.
Seriously, if you are too lazy to read a few paragraphs of text and get a ROM, what the f*ck are you doing on an online forum for emulated gaming?

Just ignore this guy completly, is my advice. He is probably a Troll and thus is simply here for attention. If he is not a troll and he is being serious, well do really think a person such as this is worthy of your time? Go help someone who deserves it. Thats my 2 cents. Opps probably gave it that attention that it wants by posting this did'nt I?

Hi there. I have made a Speedrun of Oracle of Seasons now. You can look at it here if you like: http://speeddemosarchive.com/OracleOfSeasons.html Just wanted to thank you, Ego Buff, for your good use of the Pegasus Seeds. Those have helped me alot:D.

Since noone seems to being working on this game right now, I started a little test run and beat the first dungeon. It's significantly faster than Ego Buff's submitted run (the WIP's are dead links), but the extra speed is mostly due to his sloppy playing. Anyways, here's the link: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1696/ZeldaOoSDungeon1.vbm

Looks quite nice=). But you could manipulate the enemies to not be in your way, like the annoying bats. And make that the moblins at the boss key room stand closer to you. Keep it up!

Looks very good... I like seeing how the Maku Tree's text can be skipped so quickly :) I think you could manipulate that Octorok outside Hero's cave (the one you walk around), that could save a small amount of time. But, I know how annoying it is to redo almost all the run for something so minor, so it's not a big deal.

Thanks :)

I thought about that, but I only wasted maybe 6-7 frames dodging each bat. It would probably take longer to manipulate them, but I'm not exactly sure.
And make that the moblins at the boss key room stand closer to you.
I tried waiting in the room before to manipulate where the moblins start, but no matter how many times I tried (50 to be exact), 1 moblin always started at the far left, so I just kept that the same. I managed to hit 2 with 1 slash anyway, so it worked out.

Yeah, I realized that after completing my run and watching it :( Oh well, like you said it would only save a small amount of time. One thing I wasn't sure of was whether or not to get the heart container. I could save a couple hundred frames not getting it, but it's a quick way to heal, and I'll probably need the extra heart sometime.

You could manipulate the enemies to drop the hearts you need. As you have to do to get the 10 rupees for the boxing match=). EDIT: Are you going to take the red ring just as Ego Buff did? I'm not really sure that it is faster... You can't get the ring untill dungeon 7. And the bosses you could use it is are only; mini boss and boss in dungeon 7, boss dungeon 8 and Onox two phases. And it takes a couple of minutes to take the ring. So I doubt it's faster... I hardly think Ego Buff did any researches on this either. By the way, here is Ego Buff's TAS http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1721/OracleOfSeasons.vbm I think he did a little faster than you just before the miniboss.

Ok, so I'll skip the heart container. And thanks for reminding me about the boxing match, I completely forgot about that. About the red ring, I probably won't take it, I doubt it's faster. Killing the golden beasts takes some time, and it probably doesn't make up the time later. About Ego Buff's TAS, I assume you're talking about dodging the enemy and going up, instead of slashing the bushes? If that's the case, I tested it and it was about 10 frames faster to take the right path and slash the bushes.

Oh, it looked a little bit faster really, whatever. For the moment I don't have so many tips and tricks for you... Hardly not more than the tricks in my speedrun, which I guess you have seen. But I will watch your progress and come with comments all the time! EDIT: Have find a way to skip a key in Dungeon 6 which saves some time. But then you can't S&Q warp after taking the boomerang, instead you need to kill the armos and jump down the hole (As you are suppose to do...). When you are taking the first key in the dungeon, in the room with the magnet ball, you shall just S&Q and go to the boomerang. And you wont need to go around a lot of times, go up a floor and take the second key in the room with the "spiky things". If you don't understand what I mean I can make a vid instead=p. EDTI again: I know that I'm a bit too far in the game now for you, but in dungeon 7. After you have obtained the knightmare key, I'm quite sure it is faster to S&Q and take the miniboss teleport instead of walk back the way to the "ladder labyrinth".

lol, I haven't really been looking at those dungeons yet but I'll be sure to try those out whenever I get there. And yeah, could you make a video :) Well right now I just made it to level 2. I just wanted to make sure everything was good before I start the level. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1742/OoS_ToLevel2.vbm
