I wouldn't reccomend zelda. Zelda games usually require a LOT of planning. Zelda 1 thread. Its 22 pages long. The first half was all planning. I haven't been following LttP to closly, so they might already have a path for that. Anyway, I'm sure that someone will do that movie. I would try the other ones.

Yeah, what was I thinking...It's good to dream though. Anyways I've thought of a few, starting on genesis. I can't find a version of gens that has the movie support, how do you do it? What emu is it / what version? - Volkov

There already exist a movie for Zelda: A link to the past. I found it on SDA via Arc's site. [Edit] It's by none other than TSA. 1:51:17 is total time. Impressive!

That run could probably be improved by at least 20 minutes with save states and slow motion. Actually, that run isn't even TSA's best time, I think his best time is 1:44.

That's exactly right...Still I've played and finished the game many times before, I wouldn't be the best at planning the ABSOLUTE FASTER ROUTE! - Volkov

I'm pretty sure the fastest route for the Light World has been discovered. What remains is finding an extensive route for the Dark World that also includes routes within the actual dungeons themselves. There are shortcuts you can use to get past dungeons areas quicker, like getting hit with a bomb to get the moon pearl sooner. The Cane of somaria and the hook shot could probably achieve similar results in later dungeons.

I looked through some site and downloaded very many games I thought would make good speed runs. I think that aero the acrobat, bubsy, claymates, on the ball, and tiny toons would all make great speed runs as they move or can move very fast, and are pretty familiar. Of those, bubsy would probably be the best. Edited by Bisqwit: No ROM site links here.

Check this thread. You want Gens_Movie_Test9_exe.zip

Even with the emulator - I do not believe you will break 1:20 on A Link to the Past, unless you use Save/Quits - which I don't.

Well, I'm doing a full run of SMW for snes now, with lots of fun stuff to watch in that...just i dont think the overworld time will be the fastest, so yeah, someone could probably beat it if they knew a faster way, im just concentrating on level time ;) - Volkov

Just play the levels normally and figure out the overworld first. Then you won't have to worry about anyone beating you on the overworld.

I won't even being trying to work out what is the absolute fastest way, It's not my 'thing' I'll just play the levels with a reasonable overworld speed, sorta... - Volkov

Eh? Huh? The only thing that you might not be able to understand would be that I shortened video to vid...

i'm looking forward to the full run of SMW too. I really enjoyed the full run of SMB3, seeing how each level could be done at its absolute fastest. Keep up the good work..

Thanx, at least somone is looking forwared to it, otherwise I wouldn't bother doing it, I don't have heaps of spare time like a lot of people, I have a lot of other things to do, and doing this in my spare time can be really hard sometimes... Look forwared to it! - Volkov

In any case, what I was trying to say is that I'm looking forward to your SMW full run extremely :) So you have at least 2 supporters.
