I most certainly second the PSX Armored Core since the customizability that directly affects your performance, wicked controls and timed missions gives a TAS a big enjoyability factor :) I do not, however, think anyone interested in TASing on the PSX should do an RPG like FF, Legaia or Wild Arms. These are all very linear games with a very low entertainment value.. Since you practically can't do any special "moves", move slowly, encounter lots and lots of text tool-assisted is not the way to go imo. A speedrun is probably more fun to those requesting RPGs and all the TASers can focus on games that actually make good TASes. No offense ofc :) Just a viewers point of view (DISCLAIMER: I'm a HUGE RPG-fan, I have every PSX RPG released in Europe and pretty much everything since then. I'm not claiming the genres sucks just that it sucks for TASing.)

Omega Boost is a terrific choice but I'm unsure how the levels are laid out, how set in stone are the objectives and enemy spawns? Might be quite boring to watch if you can't really bend the rules. That's also a reason why scrolling shmups l ike RayCrisis and RayForce might not be that fun to watch. You have to really outdo yourself as a TASer to make it fun to watch imo.

And I don't know how clear I was but request an image ONLY if you want to TAS it.
You'd best not even bring it up. It's against the rules.
True.. don't request! (but feel free to ask for my e-mail for general talk :3)

I also think that "Anna Kournikova's Smash Court Tennis" could make a good playaround. And if you also want a good tennis-based speedrun, its sequel (Smash Court 3) might be good too, since it has a very difficult Mission mode (and you can play as Pac-Man from the start in it :P).
True! A 100% TAS of AK Smash Court would be hilarious too with all the unlockables. It's a good game. And I don't know how clear I was but request an image ONLY if you want to TAS it. I buy my games so I rather not just help people pirate and play :) Stuff I didn't list includes pretty much every PAL RPG released for the PSX too, except Wild Arms for some strange reason.

I don't even know what Tomba's first level looks like... or what Tomba looks like (assuming thats the name of the main character). I'd check it out if I had the disk, I prefer to make my own disk images.
Then this is definitely a problem since the game as of late has become REALLY rare, especially if you're in PAL territory :/ Too bad then. I did however post a youtube video in my previous post that links to a Tomba non-TA speedrun Also, if you ever want to TAS one of the less-common PSX games I own (list below) I can supply a disc image in any format you want pretty much :) Since I can't really TAS my self I'm always glad to help in any other way.

imo, spyro is the best of the PSX 3D platformers and it's avaliable for both a 100% and any%. I don't know that much about TASing in general but it seems fun. Tomba! still stands as the most interesting game to TAS imo but few people know about it so I doubt one of you players will pick it up :'(

Just dropped by to mention how much I, your average TAS-watcher, love this run so far! Very nice work, keep it up!

Just dropping to by to emphasis the original poster's best suggestion: Armored Core Because of it's customizable natur you'll be sure to find numerous exploits in just the building part which would be both fun to plan and execute. The levels and control system probably has some serious bugs too since it's one of From Software's earliest.. but most of all it's fun to watch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEPsCDWKGpM and if no one pointed this out yet Tomba! is one hell of a PSX game. It's mission based platform style is quite fresh and the game is very pretty too! With 160 "missions" you can go either 100% or any%. The music is also great :3 TAS this and be my god forever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDUVbl7EsRg
