The re-recording version is based on Mupen 64 v0.5.0. Are you sure you are using the right emulator ? If not, download Mupen64 v8 installer.zip from this page: http://code.google.com/p/mupen64-rr/downloads/list Then check the settings given in the submission text to see if:

And it should work.

mmarks, I'm really looking forward the finished product. Just be sure to make the Special Stages as entertaining as possible. Too bad you'll not be able to complete the Moon-zone, as this requires beforehand the game to be beaten by all four characters IIRC. On a side note, I don't really like this game to be discussed in the same topic than Sonic Advance 2. Maybe someone should create another topic as well?

The loop parameter in the youtube module doesn't seem to work anymore. The video start at the right time (the one indicated in the start parameter), but just play straight to the end without taking into account this loop parameter.

I can't get it to synch, even with the settings you gave in your submission text. Any particular thing I am missing ? Anyway, as stated in the rules, you should have used the (U) version, not the european one.

This was short and sweet. Yes vote! The character's movements are so weird :) Anyway, congrats for submitting the first (serious) MSX run.

Hmmm. I don't remember the bouncing fireballs before.
No, I remember I have seen them before. I'm beginning to like these small easter eggs. I've just seen a red shell, and I hope I will see the running Pikachu before I die in a car accident or something.

I don't know if it's related to Javascript, but anyway: Once the background image was that: http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2126/nesvbghomeinitial.png Now it is: http://tasvideos.org/css/nesvbg_home.png Did I win a cookie or did that happen eons ago? EDIT: there must be new little things jumping at the top the screen then. And that's related to Javascript. Ok.

That was brillant! I loved how you zipped through the game, and those new routes were great. Yes vote. Can't wait to see an encode using the camhack, as it's playing so slow in the emu... But I keep wondering: has anyone, even with a super powerful computer, managed to get it run at full speed on the camhacked emulator ? Or is it impossible ? (On a side note: nitsuja explained in this post how to get the camhack work).

The publisher should upload them to the dedicated archive.org folder.

I enjoyed watching this run, and it was well optimized (but the Atlasphere levels seem quite hard to optimize, so I couldn't tell if you took the best route). The downsides of this run are the auto-scrolling levels, which were a bit boring.
    * When you were on the magic carpet or on the water skis, I think you could have tried to get all the apples in order to be consistent. * In the space levels (when you control Coco), I'm sure you tried to complete these levels as fast as possible. But - and it can be debatable - as it was a bit monotonous, you can have made an entertainment trade-off by destroying every boxes, taking every apple, and killing every enemies (and that is hard to do). Besides, I don't know if this would have really slowed you down.
On a side note, the run synched on Crash Bandicoot 2 - N-Tranced (U).gba. I don't where you got this strange rom name (Crash Bandicoot 2 N-Tranced (U)(Noitami)) Anyway, yes vote & good work.

The real question is: When will Super Mario 64 be completed faster than Super Mario Bros. ?
