Honestly, I'm with Tub and the others on this one. This may be a very fun, well-made hack, but this run doesn't really show it off, instead showing off the same gameplay as the unhacked 0-star run. For comparison, the other hack videos we have published (Air, Extra Mario Brothers, Outlands, Mario Adventure, Rockman no Constancy, [http://tasvideos.org/1384S.html]Knuckles[/url]/Tails in Sonic 1, Super Demo World (already mentioned, so there's no need to link), and Super Zeromission) all show off the hack while completing it quickly. I feel that, if this were an unglitched any% run, the response would generally be more positive. Voting meh.

This is a good example of how to properly "skip" a game... Working within the engine to get past obstacles using crazy and precise acrobatic maneuvers, rather than just glitching your way directly to the end. <.< Okay, yes, there were a few glitches, but nothing horribly game-breaking. Certainly nothing on the scale of the Rockman runs, that's for sure. :P The run is fast-paced from beginning to end, and shows a very abnormal way through a very well-made hack. Voting yes.

An impressive run of an impressive hack. Yes vote from me. ... Granted, now I'll have to go watch the MockingBird run so I can comment on whether or not it should obsolete it... :P

... This beats the currently-published movie by 45 minutes?! Crazy... My favorite part of the movie was probably skipping directly to the Night of the Final Day before heading into the second dungeon. :P Everything was crazy, quick, and the game was torn to pieces. Strong yes vote from me.

The run looked optimized enough... except for one question. In the Theed Palace, after waiting for Amidala to catch up and running past the Droideka (around 17:50 in the encode(Thanks, Cardboard!)), you make a single jump and grab onto the edge of the spiral ramp. Would a double jump not have been able to make it all the way? Aside from that, I loved watching Coruscant getting broken to hell, and I did catch the special extra at the end. ;P

Ahh. That was gonna be my next question. :P Hmm. Can you try disabling the cheat at the save dialog, then re-enabling it once it's done?

Is it just when saving the game via the save option, or do savestates do it as well?

The run clearly showed just how much time and effort was put into it. It wowed me from beginning to end, and I would definitely recommend this for a Star. The only suggestion I could possibly have is to explain via subtitles what each use of RBA does, like the Might and Magic run does, as it does seem rather random for those of us who don't fully understand it. :P

And once again, arukAdo shows us that Dracula's Castle is, in fact, made entirely out of Chaos. And more mushrooms than Katamari Damacy. :P My favorite set of antics in the run was undoubtedly the crazy bat-zipping all over the place, though wolf-running straight past Richter was amazing as well. :P There was a lot of repetition, but I feel that the rest of the movie more than makes up for it. Especially how Alucard seemed to realize when he was stuck in a wall. :P

This run reminds me of a certain other 8-bit autoscrolling shooter. Especially the bit about "creat[ing] art out of a simplistic and otherwise uninteresting game to watch". Definite Yes vote from me.

O.O Holy shit. Favorite moments: Getting the ghost soul. Getting five skeleton souls in a row. Getting three souls in one attack. The cutscene where Mina (I think that's her name... been a while since I've played...) gets stabbed, and you just jump right past. It was entertaining, and I was actually surprised at just how many souls wound up being used in the end. A definite yes vote.

Thanks, everything's working now! ... Well, aside from a few issues, but I think those are from the plugin rather than the emulator. :P

Thanks for the encode! Gets a yes vote from me. Bosses dying almost before you realize the fight has started is always entertaining. :P Suggested screenshot: Around 4:39 in the encode. "Will you take the Bazooka?"

I'm having quite a few problems getting this emulator to run properly... Chiefly, no matter what I choose to run, it tells me that it's not a PSX game. Does this for .bin, .iso, and .img files. Secondly, the input plugin doesn't seem to recognize my controller once the emulator's started up. It works just fine when configuring the buttons, except it won't let me reassign the directionals. Me being me, there's probably something stupid I'm missing... I downloaded the latest version I could find on the google page (0.1.2), and I have the SCPH1001 BIOS.

... Someone should do a TAS of SkiFree. Just to see how many people cry when they realize that it is possible to escape the Abominable Snow Monster. :P

Didn't optimize the PNG, but that can be done later. Frame # 29530, if you were curious. :P

Hmm... Dunno whether to put this in its own topic, or post it here... The archive.org link for The Megaman 7 movie points to its predecesor. ... Which doesn't have a link to Archive.org. Just wanted to point this out. :P

Hmm... it seemed quicker to kill the bosses with the knife than I thought it would be. I personally feel that using the DS version was a good choice. Yes, we lose all the hilariously bad dialog, but we also get to skip all the door transitions. IIRC, those accounted for a third(?) of the length of the PSX RE3 run. Maybe I'm just easily entertained, but I did like the movie, though I would prefer a run that uses weapons. Because of that, and the technical elements mentioned earlier, voting meh.

If it gets accepted, the official encode definitely should. As a quick "Hey, watch this if you can't/don't want to get the emulator working/don't have the ROM/whatever" encode... well, it's up to you, really, but I tend to skip the credits and anything like them. Will refrain from voting until an encode is up, as my computer isn't nearly beastly enough to handly DS emulating. :P

While the autoscrolling stages were repetitive and did get boring after a while, I found myself managing to watch this entire thing without wondering when it was gonna end. Well-played, especially with the glitches, and I think that 100% was a good choice to keep the run as interesting as possible. Voting yes. ... Possibly with the inclusion of "Ignores delays caused by bonus effects", a la Sonic. :P

Okay, after re-encoding, it's down to 230 MB. Still slightly too large for Rapidshare, but somewhat more manageable, now. :P Also: Fixed the Doomsday video. Should actually, y'know, work now. :P

And Youtube'd. Incidentally, if anyone knows of an upload site which allows for 500 MB files, I've got an AVI with the HUD and "skip boring parts" scripts enabled.
