so i saw that @jlun2 in the TAS wait like 4 second before using the deathwarp glitch in the 'rescue norbert' part.
i was thinking if when you open the menu the frame count reset and if is possible to manipulate some fights to get more critical hit, because this will be really cool
i don't remember the 'Repelish all', but i'm pretty sure that i get the 'SP gain' somewhere.
yes, 'full enchantment' and 'Harry potter' card are the only two things that silente give you when you win the House cup.

But the FrogEXP works only when you have the boss fight in memory? Because in my first try i get a fight against some rats and i softlock the game when i talk with the girl. The second time with savestate i walk through the dungeon without fight and i was able to get it :/

i had a really busy month, so i'll try to check all in the next few days.
the change deck seems sick! we don't really need a system like that but if is possible is really cool for testing different strategy, if we don't use the frogXP.
(with the frogXP is like playing a NG+) :D

6) i think you can't item skip all the enemy/boss. if you talk about the poison skip, you can. When the damage popup you just press 2/3 times A to skip it ( for the last boss is better to do petrify him, it's safer)
is possible to skip some dialog, but some softlock the game.
corridor to the mirror of eris, at night, you can open the menu. The cutscene with dumbledor don't trigger and i think you can't get catch by snape.
you have see what appened if you change the language? because trying some train skip time ago i was having different output doing the same things. i think using different deck change it too
the save and reset, to be effective, can be used only 2 times during the speedrun.
1) when you take norbert from hagrid. If you die inside the house the game warp you on infirmary (4rd floor?) and next you go at 7th floor. The fun fact of this warp is that you can glitch the game and force him to day time. This mean you can walk when you want without finding enemy and teacher, but you can't use shortcut because the game don't allow you to take them at night. It's a really weird glitch but fun and really useful.
2) after we exit from the forest after detention.
i sometimes abuse of this deathwarp when we need to go at the 3rd floor for the last part of the game. you die in the common room and it's done, but at 90% of the time the screen glitch very badly.

you can find there all the last stuff we discover.
the most important things that we were trying to achieve are : minigames skips, some cutscene skip and a solid FrogXP.
a fun fact: if you open the menu in the same frame of the cutscene dialog with hagrid inside the gringot the game softlock, you are not able to take the money from the bank and the quest don't progress :D

i've try to replicate it but i always found the troll.
you think this is possible to replicate in RTA or is possible only on TAS?
i'm worried about standing in a specific pixel and walk in a specific pattern.
can you try to see if something change if you talk with the girl in a different spawn and something like that?
btw, we also know that you can use the combo card to skip the malfoy fight ( we call it train skip ), this skip change a lot of things in the route.

1. [...] i see, i've try a lot of things in this mounths but i was able to get the frogXP only after warping in the forest, so was really useles.
ps: in the train we found that we can use a combination out of combat ( so we trigger a fight, a win) we talk with a girl 4 times and we are able to skip the malfoy fight.
2. [...] To fight against yourself you just need to restart the game, so the memory addres when you have the previous fight is clean. At that point you just need to use a combination out of fight and you fight against yourself. If you don't get any damage the game softlock. this is the only way to get consistent.
3. I figure out how to get the 50k sick (maybe more). But you need to have a specific item and number of item to get it, i think i have a video on twitch where i try to do it. At moment the only way to get more money at the beginning of the game is to drop the shoes against the big rat at Gringot, take the money from the bank, exit from it (w/o get any fight), buy chocofrog and hope that find some combination. So we are able to dupe the last drop more times, at least untile the game crash xD
4. supermonkeypotato is trying to understand what's appened if you get that item. he found a lot of weird glitch ( useles )

i found a way to get outofbound time ago. if you open in the same frame the menu and fight against a boss you trigger the fight inside the menu, you fight like normal you do but after that you are stuck in the texture. i don't have any videos but is really easy to replicate.

we discover that we can jump a lot of walking just dying, but it's hard to do because you need to get a dead fight in memory and at night you have more chance to get an encounter.
i discover that is possible to save and quit, use a combo and trigger fight against myself, but the chance of working are really low.
QUESTION:
for your frog XP you need to win a card in a fight. pick somewhere or buy some chocofrog? because with our route we pick 2 cards at the beginning of the game, but before fight the rat. So if you tell us that we need to pick it after collect the money from the bank we can deal with it :)

i was trying againt the frogXP but i'm able to fight only against the Troll and as you know you can't run from him XD any clue?
hi, i hope to not be banned for regraveyard.
me and some other runner start to re-route the game again and start speedrun it.
We discover some really cool skip troll skip, light (die and respawn in the infermery in some part of the game).
but we get some weird glitch like a teleport from the train to the forest, another where you need to save&reset use the combo to die and skip a lot of walking.
so i was thinking if there is someone that want come back into the game and trying to broke it more than the past.
trying to understand how things works and stuff like that.
i don't know if this is the right place where post it but it's the only HP1gbc post.
