Implementing this in the plot could be funny I think: Link to video (resulting in something like this)

How would you go about making this script work with touchscreen inputs in DeSmuME?
Considering the touchscreen of DeSmuME is 256 x 193 pixels (yes 193, it ranges from 0 to 192, don't ask me why), which means 49408 possible input combinations, it's a bit worse than having 15 additional buttons to check for the script.

Hurray for being an annoying plot device \o/ However, I really like the idea of Nach being the final boss :D oh wait this is not a game, this is an anime... well then... the final... uuh... the final super villain, yeah...

I’m sorry if they’re upset but it’s a fact.
No. While it might be true that you are able to prove that you TAS intelligently, you are not going to prove that everyone else on this website is not TASing intelligently!

Don't you think that collaboration is intelligent TASing? Btw, you still let your ego get in your way.

I suggest that you try to be less hostile towards literally everyone else on this website.
I don’t think that was that bad of a message. I didn’t even swear or insult anyone directly. Also, you’re one of the few TASers I respect, don’t be mad.
Then, how about I use that respect to give you some helpful tips? You claim yourself to be the only person TASing intelligently on this website, which I hope is simply an exaggeration you used to get the point of bad optimization across. I call it an exaggeration because it seems like this claim is plain wrong, as you did nothing to prove it. Be careful with exaggerations, as they might hurt other people if done wrong.
ALAKTORN wrote:
Don’t make me lose faith in other TASers more than I already have.
Now, instead of losing faith in other TASers, how about you think about the one way of TASing that is even better than competition: collaboration. Instead of letting other people figure something out, try working together, sharing ideas and pointing out mistakes in a direct manner, without letting your ego get in the way.

See, you should change your attitude towards everyone else on this website. You should try to see things from another perspective, from another point of view. It would have made you realize that everyone else on this website might be upset about being told that they don't TAS intelligently.

Isn't using the glitch similar to simply drawing a picture, then pressing Erase and then drawing an invisible answer? (And I mean similar in the game's point of view)

You can't use Cheat Engine to check the game code. Cheat Engine will disassemble the Emulator code, which doesn't help you really. A Debug version of Dolphin could help figuring out stuff (I used it for RNG and so on).

How about increasing the background font a bit and moving it so that it's centered in the actual text? It won't look perfect but that's not really needed here imo.
Increasing font size only works with gui.drawText and doing it like you said looks even worse than normal. The only other idea would be using the same size but making it bold. This is how it looks. It's a bit better than normal but you can still only use it with gui.drawText.

This is for all the people that don't like the default font. I made these two functions (just copy paste them in your code) which is adding a black border around your text, so you can see it better. But: This increases the amount of text calls by a factor of 9, so don't spam it (though, I didn't have any problems, to be honest).

Btw, everyone. This is the low% category, which makes no sense for this game, because it doesn't have a percentage counter. Still, the RTAers for SMW thought it would be a good idea to call the small only way of beating this game low%, so that's what this is.

Did you actually watch this movie? If you did, you should have seen that he doesn't collect powerups. The movie you linked is another category. But, the movie Spikestuff linked is still faster than this movie.

Hello StarOfDoom and welcome to TASVideos! You seem to have misunderstood what the submission page is for. It is only for optimized TASes. You realized that it is hard to reach the levels of optimization of the current TASes of this game. Even so, try to compare to them while TASing. You will learn new techniques to optimize your own TAS. Then, when you are pretty confident that your movie isn't "just for fun" and when you are sure you can't further optimize it, then you can submit the movie, not before that. Did you see the text at the top of the submission page that said: please ensure that your movie [...] beats all known records if going for speed. And if you read further, you can see: If you are simply looking for a place to store your movie files for distribution to other members, please consider user files. In short, don't submit sub-optimal movies, try to be as optimal as you can be before submitting, and if you are looking for feedback use the user files.

I don't really know if this counts as a bug, but if the description of the movies in the Featured Movie part of the front page is too short, you have no way of actually getting to the movie page (usually reached by clicking on "Read More"). I can't get to the movie page :(

[19:49] <BimmyLee> oh no, psxhawk is too slow on a version it wasn't even released in [19:49] <BimmyLee> what do we do?
