My shortest encode ever. SD Stream SD Download HD Stream I vote Yes for this funny run. And also, this very run beat my April Fool's submission, making mine the 2nd most viewed of them.
I liked the "This was a tool-assisted recording" :D

but what you gain by making mario turning into this thing?!?
when mario is like this, then if you get a mushroom at the perfect frame and with a perfect input, it acts like a goal point or a keyhole with key... its maybe hard to perform but still possible...

I tested the jump-through-ceiling glitch in various situations. 1. P-switch and key: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1843727047/smw-keyswitch01.smv This is similar to the case of two keys. 2. P-switch and key: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/425037270/smw-keyswitch02.smv First kick up a key, then a p-switch. In this case we need modification because we can't land on a p-switch before we kick it up. 3. two P-switches: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1434026584/smw-2switches.smv ("sample 3" in correct) Similar to the above case. The height of the ceiling of each sample is 5 squares. I couldn't jump through a ceiling of height 4 squares though I didn't make many trials. I have no idea so far whether I can get it or not. If it's possible, it needs careful subpixel control, I guess.

So, in the video, I started the script one frame too late, or so...because of that, you must subtract all the frames by one... A little question, how do I do the "no room sync" like in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZtEqONzuwk

Just to show you: Link to video
Video Description wrote:
Ghost: unoptimized small only run Not-Ghost: better run (pay attention to the score/lag) I do the small only run again and this time, I try to be faster: - I tried to make the digits of the score as small as possible (after a lvl) and especially for the iggy fight, because there, I would get much more lag as on fade out, etc. - In the 2. level, I used 49 hopping, and as you can see, this is faster! - Nice to see in the 3. level: Often you get lag at the shelljump, but in the optimized run, there is no lag :-D SO, after you have read this text, you should watch the video again and look at the score/lag :DD I don't really understand the number in the top left of the video... maybe that are the frames I'm faster... BUT, how do I get 1 frame before the 1. level O_o

Do the coins affect the lag? and if it's so, is it the same as with the score?
