What version of the game is this? In the encode, the music in the "third intermission" / the sixth main area is different from what I remember actually existing in-game.
Yep it's different, in the 2.2 version of the game, The Final Level has a remixed version of the original song Predestined Fate.

Maybe because there are both emu.register...() things and memory.register...() things!

A "Least Checkpoints" run of this game isn't really anything interesting. A lot of checkpoints can't be avoided, a lot of checkpoints are easily avoided, and most of the rest of them require very minor placement differences. There is no real challenge in a goal like this. Additionally, this particular run is very sloppy. You don't preserve velocity on most corners you pass. Compare the start of this movie with my old run of this movie. You'll notice that you lose time even if you're not trying to avoid checkpoints.

Nope, it is not a feature. I once made a feature request, but it's not implemented yet. The project since moved to the github page, so it might be an idea to make a feature request there as well.

Saved 9 frames in 1-1 by jumping into portals instead of falling. Comparison video. (ltm)

This is a great game and a nice TAS! I liked it so much that I wanted to improve it, so here we go, 116 frames saved in 1-2 by skipping the puzzle using velocity. Here is a quick video.

If you compare it with the RTA run (1:45) then it might look not a lot faster. Instead, compare the amount of time in-level (aka the time not in cutscenes), which is ~27 seconds for the TAS, and ~59 seconds for the RTA run.

Almost all my FPS test videos don't have any other option than 30fps anymore (among a lot of some other videos I know to have been 60fps before). A quick google search reveals that other people also have that problem recently. I hope this is just a bug and will be fixed soon.

You probably uploaded the wrong movie file. Upload the correct one to userfiles and link it in this thread and we can replace it for you.

BrunoVisnadi, not quite, you forgot f) (you also forgot d) and e) but those are ties anyways). According to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Regulations (Article 32), the ranking in the group stage is decided by:
a) (overall) points
b) (overall) highest goal difference
c) (overall) highest goal number
Now if there are tied teams:
d) (between tied teams) points
e) (between tied teams) highest goal difference
f) (between tied teams) highest goal number
g) fair play conduct by weighting yellow and red cards
h) drawing of lots by FIFA
So if Sweden and Germany were to win 1-0, the ranking would either be 1. Sweden, 2. Germany, 3. Mexico, 4. South Korea or 1. Germany, 2. Sweden, 3. Mexico, 4. South Korea (if cards stay as is, the former one happens; if Sweden gets too many cards, the latter one happens; if they are tied then it's randomly decided) The part BrunoVisnadi missed was: three teams were tied, so the matches against South Korea are not counted anymore, meaning the goals look like this: Sweden: 2-2 Germany: 2-2 Mexico: 1-1 So according to f), Mexico is 3rd place no matter what the weighting of cards say. (Fun fact: If instead of those teams winning 1-0, they both win 2-0, then the ranking is the latter one no matter what, because in a direct tie between Germany and Sweden, Germany wins simply because they won the game against Sweden.)

Actually, giving a rating only takes a few clicks. It doesn't distract from encoding or publishing.

I made a game where no threefold repetition occurs with an arrangement of pieces repeated 21 times: https://lichess.org/kRWGVeUa This repeated position is starting at move 9: Shown are the castling moves and the en passant. The PGN is:
1. e4 e5 2. d4 d5 3. Nh3 Nh6 4. Na3 Na6
5. Bc4 Bc5 6. Bf4 Bf5 7. Qf3 Qd6 8. dxc5 exf4
9. g4 Bg6 10. Bb3 Bf5 11. Bc4 Bg6 12. Bb3 Bf5
13. Bc4 Bd7 14. Bb3 Be6 15. Bc4 Bf5 16. Bb3 Bg6
17. Bc4 Bf5 18. Rg1 Bg6 19. Rh1 Bf5 20. Bb3 Bg6
21. Bc4 Bf5 22. Be2 Bg6 23. Bd3 Bf5 24. Bc4 Bg6
25. Bb3 Bf5 26. Bc4 Bg6 27. Rb1 Bf5 28. Ra1 Bg6
29. Bb3 Bf5 30. Bc4 Bd7 31. Bb3 Be6 32. Bc4 Bf5
33. Bb3 Bg6 34. Bc4 Bf5 35. Bb3 Rg8 36. Bc4 Rh8
37. Bb3 Bg6 38. Bc4 Bf5 39. Be2 Bg6 40. Bd3 Bf5
41. Bc4 Bg6 42. Bb3 Bf5 43. Bc4 Rb8 44. Bb3 Ra8
45. Bc4 Bg6 46. Bb3 Bf5 47. Bc4 Bd7 48. Bb3 Be6
49. Bc4 Bf5 50. Bb3 Bg6 51. Bc4 Bf5
Fun fact, there are also two other arrangements of pieces which occur 13 times. Other fun fact, at the end, we're only 15 half-moves away from draw due to the fifty-move rule. Edit: I just realized three replies happened while I was busy, yeah so the 15 half-moves are just as p4wn3r said.

I agree, my suggestion needs a proper definition of "iconic enough". And it seems there might be problems with actually counting certain units of something, so maybe we need to constrict the definition even further.

Someone can count them, let's say it's like 107 levels. Then if it's iconic enough, the "all levels" branch would be renamed to "all 107 levels".

Use the I/O library in Lua itself.
Language: lua

file = io.open("coolfile.txt","w") file:write("cooltext\n") file:close()
There might be some better way to make a static line that updates rather than keep closing and reopening the file, maybe something with file:seek("set").

For now I've added the full list of all game summary pages to: (The list of game groups was already there, but not all games are in a group)
