It should be noted that the "Luigi-only" movie that this aims to beat was already considered obsoleted by the regular warps run way back in 2004. I don't think it was ever really considered a category of value even at the time. That being said, I don't really see a particular need to re-introduce a Luigi-only category for this game. Luigi is already used almost half the time in the current run, so unlike Princess, he does not add that kind of novelty.

In my opinion, adding more enemies in stages is a good reason to use hard mode instead, as it would mean requiring more creative opportunities to dodge or defeat enemies that are in the way. This post is the logical equivalent to stating that the Banjo-Kazooie TAS has a major improvement by backward long jumping on the slopes, based on utility found in Bob-Omb Battlefield in Super Mario 64. It is a completely different game, by a different company, with a completely different physics engine. Just because your trick works in one game does not mean it works in a completely different game. In this game, trying to do what you described just causes the car to spin out. It's not a "major improvement", or any form of improvement, by any means.

I think Pokémon Red/Blue and Yellow are clearly different games. Even if the approach to beat it as fast as possible in these constraints is similar for both (with both runs primarily using Nidoking), it still presents a slightly different storyline with different challenges and opponents. On that basis, I think these runs should not obsolete each other.

I'll note right away that the movie rules make clear that game show games are not eligible for the Vault, rendering runs of games like this not publishable if they don't meet sufficient entertainment criteria. Also, this kind of run strikes me as really trivial.

It's a 1-pixel gap. It's not that hard to pull off, though (you can bump into the border to the right of it to easily set up the correct position). RTA runs also make use of it.

I only watched the non-fixed graphics version, and I actually liked how the game's graphics ended up breaking down over time. Maybe I'm too used to Mega Man TASes where that level of glitching is commonplace, but I did not find it annoying at all.

You are trying to upload a zip file. Are you sure that this zip file has the .bk2 file and only the .bk2 file in it? Otherwise, try uploading the .bk2 file directly without zipping. Userfiles does not require movie files to be zipped.

Based on my understanding of 3DS VC releases (there's not much information out there), it consists of the original FDS ROM with a modified/hacked FDS BIOS and emulator. There is no new separate NES/loadless ROM, to my knowledge. Unless your idea is to run the full VC package, in which case there is no accepted emulator for 3DS TASing. In any case, even if it was an option, it's quite a bit of a grey area issue (especially as TASVideos generally favors using original releases) just for a difference in loading times.
