Gah. While that particular frame *partially* shows what I'm trying to get you to see, it doesn't seem to have shown up very well. Something with red and green will show up better, for example Mario on a green hill with blue sky in the background.
Compare that frame with the lossless lanczos bmp you made. Pay extra close attention to the colours. Not very lossless if the colours have changed, is it? :)
Edit: Good places to look are her hair gradient, her earring and the "Peach" text. It's washed out already!

It has always been a case by case basis. The limit is there, but it can be worked around if there is a valid reason for high bitrate. Personally I feel if you need to use more than 6MB/min, you need more aggressive settings.

I'm impressed with how far 0.9 has come. Just had a play now, I see that NSMB works well with only a few graphical and sound glitches. Seems to run ALMOST full speed but theres no indication to why it's not running 100% for me...
Sonic Rush is pretty good too graphically, but the sound leaves alot to be desired. Slowdowns also occur in some places, but it's hard to tell if that's due to cpu reaching 100% or an emulator issue.
The only game I'll ever TAS still does not work. The intro movie flickers stuff on both screens and the game does not get past the intro dialog. Most disappointing.

1. VBA should not be making 4GB files. It should be limiting them to 2GB afaik. I am unsure why it's getting limited at 4GB, but it's possible that it's not limiting them at all, and your filesystem is FAT32. Please check whether your filesystem is FAT32 or NTFS and report back.
2. This looks similar to a problem that is common in the RTM version of Vista (the first release), but is not identical. As such, I don't think it's a Vista problem but I cannot rule it out. Please ensure you have Service Pack 1 installed and report back.
3. Have you tried VBA rerec v19.3? Does it have the same problem?
4. Try a shorter clip. perhaps 30 seconds. Also try recording in a different codec to rule out the problem being uncompressed. Let me know how it goes.

I'd just like to point out that since then, I have asked Bisqwit and he has confirmed that he tried to add a logo, but for whatever reason, it didn't work.

The audio seems to desync for me, and the picture seems oddly fuzzy. It also seems to cause FFDShow to use alot of cpu on my laptop, far more than is usually required to decode h264...

Wow, that's a lot of uploaded runs :D
I'll get to work on adding them to NES titles beginning with A-D. If any other editors wish to participate, I would advise E-H to speed things up a bit.
Edit:
Titles A-D have been added. Any titles missing archive links are due to them not having an archive equivalent... if that makes sense...

2. I don't have the time to do this right now.
You don't have the time to make a logo, but you have the time to encode submissions to AVI? You know that compared to making a logo, doing the actual encode takes FAR longer..

You have to be accepted as a publisher first.
Not quite. Encoders are welcome to assist publishers by encoding accepted submissions. Once you have a good sized encode that completely follows the Encoder Guidelines you are encouraged to submit it (preferably using a link of some sort) to either the publisher currently processing the submission (a message at the bottom of the submission is usually left) or, if noone is processing it already, a publisher of your choice.
Note that publishers will not be able to use an encode that does not follow the encoder guidelines. If you are unsure if your encode follows the guidelines or are encountering problems, be sure to ask on the IRC channel, but I recommend you do not specifically ask a single publisher to look at it unless you are certain it follows the guidelines; instead, ask a greater audience. This is because you have a greater chance of attracting the attention of someone with the free time to help out, rather than annoying a publisher which does not.
Good luck, fractalwizz.

I don't put it at the uncompressed state. I put it at Microsoft Video 1 at 100% visual quality.
That'll be why then.
Seriously, I advise against proceeding with any encoding for the site until you have learned the encoder guidelines and are able to abide to them. Feel free to provide other ways to distribute already encoded AVIs though. Personally I feel torrents are the best possible way of distribution, though a slightly different way of getting the torrents might work better.

I don't think Bisqwit's auto-seeder has every AVI ever made. The point of the urgent seeding list is for when others have downloaded the torrent in the past, and wish to help reseed it.

I think he means that rather than download the published AVI and seeding it, you make your own and seed it with the torrent for the published AVI. If this is the case, I can't see how or why you would possibly think it would work for a media file that is completely different to the one published..
