I'd rather another Ocarina of Time clip be used, because the one shown, staircase hovering in Dodongo's Cavern, is child's play and can be done incredibly easily on console. Perhaps something else from the 18:46:85 or the Majora's Mask run?

Pictures for anyone not quite familiar about how the 100% pause menus look, and also my opinions as to what I consider 100% below them: - Gold Skulltula token from collecting all the ones in that dungeon - Boss Key - Compass - Dungeon Map - NOT each room visited - NOT all chests opened/nor all Small Keys obtained - No RBA allowed; each item must be obtained such that it cannot be obtained twice - Stone of Agony - Gerudo Membership Card - Gold Skulltula total, no duplications allowed - All 20 hearts, no duplication allowed - All songs - All medallions - All Spiritual Stones - NOT all possible cutscenes seen (allows for Wrong Warps and Cutscene Deaths) - No RBA allowed; all items must be collected from their normal methods - Link's cow obtained (not in the menu, but part of my 100% definition) - All Great Fairy upgrades - Best upgrade for Arrows (Adult) and Slingshot (Child), as well as Bombs, Strength Upgrade, and Scales, but you DO have to collect the ones that hold a lower quantity (known as Left-Side Equipment, LSE) - Obviously, all right-side equipment (RSE), highest upgrades (i.e. minus the Giant's Knife) - No RBA allowed to touch the LSE or RSE - All items collected. No RBA allowed to place the items in the inventory, but once they're collected, their quantities can be RBA'd (Bloobliebla's Ice Cavern with all those slides = omg) - All Gold Skulltula icons in the overworld, which means that you have collected all the GS in that area EDIT: Typo

Three rings? Do you mean Training Mode instead of Meteo Warp?
No, what is meant are the warp rings right before the boss of Meteo that take you to Katina/Katarina if you go through all seven of them. Try going into first person mode as soon as you begin rotating, and then try to go through all seven of them. You'll see it's extremely difficult.

Everyone, please imagine for a moment that every cutscene and text box in Ocarina of Time could be skipped by pressing a button like Start. Would it be any contest at all that they would be? Would an encode that does not skip the cutscenes/text be made? Please think of that when you vote, and not based on the story that this imagine spot would not have.

You named it "BloobielaOOTAny%TASNoCutscenes.wmv". When you uploaded it, it seems to have read the percentage as the beginning of the command for a space in URL schema (%20). In the future, to avoid this, just use alphanumerics.

Yes, the Light Arrow cutscene will only play once you have the Shadow and Spirit Medallions, so it's necessary to RBA them.

Just compared the two side-by-side. The Japanese TAS copies Bloob's route almost completely. The only differences is that the Japanese TAS doesn't get a Deku Stick, and so loses time in places because of its absence, and a few overall rupee differences (example: It doesn't use the Potion Shop grotto chest in Kakariko, gets the blue rupee in the Kokiri Forest shop). The gameplay is pretty sloppy in places compared to Bloob's. So yeah, slower than Bloob's.

You can't use any sword in there so thus no ISG. I also tested using a walk-through-walls cheat coupled with the levitation cheat in order to leave the area (reloading ECT) without stopping the game/timer, but you just get your sword back. Interestingly though, the timer remains counting down even outside but does nothing except disappear when it reaches zero.

During the Ganon battle, right after recovering the Master Sword, Bloobiebla does a forward thrust slash on Ganon's tail instead of a jumpslash/something that has the power of a jumpslash. This is remedied by using a Power Crouch Stab (jumpslash power) instead. In other words, the Youtube version uses six attacks to take down Ganon while the final product uses five.

There's a bug in the game where if you pull out the Odd Mushroom while the text "Potion Shop" is on-screen the hag won't recognize it. Bloobiebla entertains us until the text goes away.

IIRC the only things acquired in low% via RBA are 29 arrows with Ruto's Bottle (only one shot though because you don't RBA a quiver) and 29 Bombchus with a Poe. The Bombchus are already collected normally before RBA thanks to the BotW actor overwrite and vine clip glitch; RBA just gives you more of them. As RingRush said, the only thing questionable is the Deku Stick icon that appears during RBA. It's unusable and you never acquire any actual Deku Sticks ("ammo"), so some wonder if it counts as an item.

I would think that the skipping the Fairy Ocarina would be fastest. It takes a while to get into position, but that would make up the time it would take for the cutscene to run, especially if using the two-nut strategy. Surely it can't take much longer to do Ocarina Items? You gain the ability to Peahat Superslide, skip KG with the Deku Sticks, and probably other benefits (more ESS opportunities?) Downsides of using old Forest Escape: - Need more rupees - Need to go to the store and get both the Deku Shield and Deku Stick, sitting through long texts - Need to get into position for the old Forest Escape - Need to use Ocarina Items when you need to use the Ocarina (which shouldn't be too much; the only times we need to OI we can RBA at the same time) Benefits: - Skip Fairy Ocarina cutscene - Skip Kaepora Gaebora twice - Peahat Superslide and possible other Superslides - ESS opportunities with Deku Sticks Anything else I'm missing?

No, 100% is defined by picking up each individual item; no duplication glitches. In the Gold Skulltula case, you need to have the Gold Skulltula icons on the world map and the individual dungeon status screens.

GameSharking the Light Arrows into your inventory will trigger the rainbow bridge cutscene if you have the Spirit and Shadow Medallions (although the "Sheik reveals his true form" cutscene will still play if you go to the Temple of Time). So basically, to be able to form the rainbow bridge the game checks for the Light Arrows and the Spirit/Shadow Medallions but doesn't check if the Sheik cutscene has been played yet. Use this GameShark code, which gives you the Light Arrows, to try it yourself (U 1.0): 8011A654 0012 Activate that code, get the Broken Goron's Sword but don't RBA it until you've gone to the exact spot where the rainbow bridge cutscene triggers. An addendum to mzxrules' post above, here's a list answering almost any possible questions: - After leaving the Kokiri Forest shop, the TAS jumpslashes into the water and flies backwards. >>> There are four ways to escape Kokiri Forest before completing the Deku Tree. This method is called “Water Extended Super Slide” (or Infinite Super Slide, whichever you prefer). By entering and exiting the water quickly while holding the control stick a specific direction, you can move like this. This gives enough speed to be able to clip the Kokiri blocking your way out of the forest. >>> This method of escape is considered unoptimal for a TAS because it activates the “get Fairy Ocarina” cutscene. This is unnecessary and only wastes time, as through another glitch known as Ocarina Items you can play an Ocarina even though you have none. - After going into Hyrule Field for the first time, the TAS switches between the Sword and the Deku Stick really fast. >>> Switching between a Sword and the Deku Stick every other frame skips your encounter with Kaepora Gaebora, an owl who talks to you and wastes time. - After skipping the owl, the TAS flies backwards. >>> This is a Super Slide. The fact that this roof is able to be grabbed is just a fault of the game design. - Why does the TAS pull out the Odd Mushroom twice in the Old Hag’s shop? >>> This is also a result of the game itself. The first you pull it out the game will never recognize it. - In the Great Fairy’s Fountain, Link plays the Ocarina with the Hookshot…? >>> This is a glitch called Ocarina Items which would allow the Ocarina to be skipped. Curiously, all four of these are connected to a memory manipulation glitch by the name of Reverse Bottle Adventure. I won't pretend to understand the details, but by putting a bottle on the B button, emptying and refilling the bottle causes memory to be manipulated, including, say, the number of medallions you have.

Are you talking about him pulling out the Odd Mushroom twice in the Potion Shop? That's the result of the game itself; you always need pull the Odd Mushroom out twice because it's not recognized when you pull it out the first time.

1, 2, and 3 are part of a memory manipulating glitch called Reverse Bottle Adventure. By getting a Bottle on B and having a specific item like the Poacher's Saw on C-Right when you let go and catch the bugs, you can manipulate the memory to get a (glitched) Quiver, various songs, and various Medallions.
