Voting no. At first, I was pissed off about the whole critical hit bug thing. It made me paranoid about future playthroughs, and the remake. But I quickly got over that. Then the constant pausing and volume shifting started to get to me. I learned to accept that, too, and I think there was talk about the AVI being made with a custom version or hack or something that wouldn't have that annoyance.[/b]
Instructions are included on how to get around this issue in the submission. You just need to enter a specific cheat code and bam - fixed.

Then if you need to make changes (updated virus definitions, new windows updates, etc), you can just reboot the computer and unlock the drive, make your changes, and relock it again.
Well, the program only locks the C drive, so if you have multiple hard drives (or partitions, I believe), those are free to be used however. Also, you do have the ISO that's created for a quick reinstall if necessary. But it's your computer. Use it how you want to use it.

Got around to watching it. That was amazing! I have never been so entertained by an RPG TAS before. I guess it helps that I finished playing through the game again a month ago so the storyline was fresh in my mind. My childhood demands a DemonWall Lol! I forgot about that boss, how did he skip that? He just teleported out somehow... I didn't know that was possible :\ Coloring Cecil was pretty cool. :P I also found the music synchronization with the changing characters very amusing. Yes vote! I watched it all.
There's a bug that allows him to get the already collected crystal in the castle in the underworld (after Calbrena). At the trigger space, the only thing the game cares about is that you have a crystal, not WHERE you got it from. This was fixed in later versions of the game, like the GBA port.

Man, why can't Edward have that 60,000 HP when he actually joins the party? (Or Kain with 65k?) :P There's some interesting things if you watch that lua script. Milon dies with 1000 HP left? Weird. (Also, Cecil is psychic. He cheered before Milon Z died. Nice one.) Possible easter eggs: Red Dark Knight Cecil (Tellah's first joining) Blue Tellah (Dark Elf 2nd Fight)

Is that Dr. Light hiding behind what I guess is supposed to be Crash Man? Could it be that he's the true villain? Ah, poor Dr. Wily, so misunderstood.
Dr. Light is actually the villain in Mega Man 9.
Well he's *framed* by Wily...
Indeed. Like this plot line hasn't been used before... Dr. Cossack. Protoman Mr. X

http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/PSP_Video_Converting I wonder if this will help you. If not, try asking nate at SDA, since anri-chan's videos (in later betas) are compatible with the PSP, so maybe he has ideas.

Great run. I think the original "him/he" comments should have been left. After all, that WAS the spoiler. :P

Morneau is the man, what can I say? Now, who will be in the world series? I wouldn't mind seeing Twins vs Cubs, which would be interesting given that the Twins have faced 2 of the Cubs' biggest rivals in the WS (Cardinals and Braves) and the Twins had the home field advantage, and would again since the AL team gets the advantage in the WS. At the same time, it would also be interesting to see a Yankees vs Mets WS, given that both of their stadiums are closing this season, so it would be one last hurrah for those stadiums.

So I'm told. But comparing the youtube video to my memory of the previous run, I simply don't see it. And I don't like the game enough to watch the old one to refresh my memory. This movie's Bowser in the Fire Sea route is not memorable to me either. It doesn't help that the route in the first half or more of the level is 100% identical to the old version (I'm told). And so, not seeing any glaring amazing obvious differences between this one, I voted "meh" to the idea of it obsoleting the currently published movie.
If that's how you feel, that's fine. Though I do think pretty much every other video did take the left route, but I didn't look at any old video just to say "ZOMG U R WRONG HE TAKES DIFFERENT ROUTE!!!!!!1" though. But I guess I don't blame you for not being too excited, given there's been HOW many movies made of SM64, even just of 0-Star routes?

Well, I have to agree that while the improvement is small, you should be able to see that changes were obviously made. Like BitFS, for one. I mean, come on. The different route taken is OBVIOUS. The new run follows more along the "normal" route while the other one takes the edge of the map. But, whatever.

Look how long it took just to get a TAS capable PS1 emulator. I wouldn't expect a PS2 one for another like, 5-10 years or so.

Hmm, this guy is bashing my Mega Man 5! Saying he hopes it doesn't become "another Mega Man 5". I found this particularly funny when watching the recent Mega Man 9 trailer:
I thought that seemed familiar...

I admitably only got to see 1-1 before SNES9X starting having a major crash spree on my computer, but what I saw looked great. Can't wait for publication.

Well, you can start by buying those new silver dollars coming out in 2009 with Louis Braille on the face. Buy one which creates a donation so others can learn as well.

It's faster and just as clean. BTW, how much time do you save suiciding the character in Egypt over using the menu?

I did a speedrun of this game shortly after it was released and the game wasn't as bad as I thought it would be for being a kids anime/cartoon show. It'll be a bit longer then the last two games I worked on, plus the battle system is a bit on the inconsistent side (especially for Aang). I'll put up what I have now just to see what people think - if it's worth continuing. WIP 1 Complete through the 1st chapter. In-Game Time: 0:03

VBALink is derived from VBA, which has recording capabilities, but not RErecording capabilities. So no, not possible yet. Unless you do it right the first time. ^^;;

One thing you can try to do for the login issue is to download TweakUI from Microsoft's site -> http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx Click the plus by Logon, then click on Autologon. Check the box, make sure your user name is correct, and press apply. That should solve your problem. As for the tasks issue, I don't know why it's not killing them, but you can always kill them manually via Task Manager. That should at least help XP shutdown when you want to.

For the most part, this seems really good. There's a few spots in the Forest (that seemed a bit unoptimized) but most of the run was really good. I will state that just like in the other TAS, it should keep going to include scrolling the ending text. But that's just my opinion. I give this a high MEH.

That was really cool. I don't know how somebody figured that out, and I think that makes it all the more amazing. I give my YES vote to this run as a separate category.
