Dimon's mini fix at the end. An update only at the end. There is still the issue at the start I'm afraid. On-top of that, what Warp said is true. Overlord: 2:08/1:17 2:03/1:12 If we're going off your userfile right now: frame 86402 is the final input not frame 86426.

Point of reference previous TAS: [358] Genesis Moonwalker, Michael Jackson's by Frenom in 22:42.60 This will easily go to the moons following suit to the other two. Michael Jackson will continue to dance on the moon next to the stars.

Now to make you feel more concerned: Rerecord Count: 3917 Someone has mentioned the game on a different port. Less time and well: 14174 Rerecords Also Dimon I'm actually concerned about your Rerecord Count. Your last one you made was 7371 and it was a time of 41 minutes As Tompa once said: Save the frames. Which means spend more time optimizing each and every frame. Also this game has a very high lag input count. By "input" count I mean that you can continue to walk at the same speed without any fps drop (eg of fps drop GBA CNK).

This is very concerning not knowing a way around an emulator. In Gens Options > General Where it says "Movie" Check: "Show frame counter", "Show lag frame count" and "Show Input" This is why I was able to do a faster input at the start compared to you because I was watching the lag frames.

Yuuuuuup Link to video Edit: I'm not going to bother figuring out the waiting times after finishing a level. Edit 2: Something happened at the end, I don't know why but the times are: Correct Input: 12.07 (725 frames) Dimon's Input: 13.03 (783 frames) Edit 3: Video is correct now. Edit 4: Okay maybe not. Yea no. I'm very close to voting No unless you do something. Reason: Fix up the last level. The final boss dies at around frame: 86399 (~23:59.97 TAS time) Your input drags to: 87065 (24:12.95 TAS time) I was trying to splice the input down and I got it to the correct frame... The issue is you had 6hp left and I died.... not your fault on that one just that you didn't think on how to finish input early (which is fine). Update the final level in your TAS and use THIS and link the url to here so we know that you have fixed it up and saved the TAS time. For those wondering: The extra input was running around and walking to the final boss and booting him in the head. When he was dead for some time.

You use .img or .bin nothing else. Also check with other emulators about the audio issue. Or mention what the game is here.

*Looks at input* Button mashing... *Looks at final input* Blank input for 139 frames. Right I'm just going to guess the minimum input isn't optimal enough. Others can decide on this one too. I have looked at Stage 1 and 2. Movement looks okay, can be cleaned up here... there. Refraining from voting until clarification from others. Edit: Brazil is the game version it's not actually meant to be part of the title... "It was released only in Brazil, by local Sega distributor Tec Toy." Edit 2: Stage Times Spaceport: 2:23 The Incubator: 2:23 Secret Laser: 2:33 Lunar Space: 2:56 Occupied Territory: 2:58 Mortal Prison: 1:47 Fatal Wind: 2:42 Electric Station: 4:01 Overlord: 2:08 (waiting around) - 1:17 (Mashing Start)

The time should be: 13:19.53 Going off your final input. It seems fairly unoptimal. This is on the hardest difficulty to let everyone know. You write out "HOAHOJKI" as your name entry (and if it isn't that's a long text field to begin with). This wastes more time than a single letter and saving. You are using Rapid Fire to your input this doesn't help much. To People: You cannot touch to select character, I checked to make sure. In comparison what I will link as a video below is much more entertaining as it uses more glitches and completes in a faster time: Link to video No Vote.

If you think that should be expanded on, that's fine. But please don't claim there was nothing in either description explaining how the runs differ when there was.
Point to me. Point to me where it explains everything that is going on with this run. This is the thing that is pissing me off the most. There is no clear explanation on anything within this TAS.
This run avoids using glitches that require pressing the Escape key. There is also a run that uses these glitches to beat the game even faster.
I have read it already but and I will change what I just wrote above because that is the movie description field (also taking in account this Movie). What exactly does the Escape button DO? It's not explained properly HERE or HERE. Completing an endless circle of WTF. This is a clear issue that the Description cannot figure out what the Submission field is saying To sound like a broken record:

Spikestuff wrote:
I'm saying "why escape was used" you do mention text storage yet there is no explanation on how text storage works with the Escape key. Submission info or Movie info better mention an extra line or two actually explaining how important Escape is besides mentioning text storage.
How do you text storage. How do you get to this if I may "wrong warp". I have read the Submission field more times then anything else I have read in TASVideos. I want a clear answer. Let us ignore everything else (the branch and what not). What is the significance of the Text Storage with the Escape Button. Explain MORE in DEPTH. Edit: Oh, before anyone goes here and says the opposite of what I want. THIS and THIS work together (Even stating look at the previous TAS). Everything is explained correctly for that TAS. Edit 2: Better Example is the famous Kirby the Frame Wars. Explains the minimum in the second sentence and a quick little summary on how it works The movie given the branch "no stone glitch" (as much as I hate it) works, because it explains in the last line what it doesn't do.

This appears to be a list of runs that use a password to access either a higher difficulty level or a different level set; I'm not sure what you're trying to say with that.
Sorry for poor clarification on this part. It was just to notify that there is others that use passwords but I forgot to be specific in which ways. So yea, passwords are used mainly for Hardest Difficulty.

Cheat codes are not a normal part of gameplay. If a game contains cheat codes, then a TAS is expected to avoid them even if they save time. A run in the vault can not use cheat codes, regardless of how fast it is. Conversely, a run "using a cheat code" is a special case that has to be labeled as such. The cheat code run needs to prove that it's unique enough for a separate branch, and entertaining enough for moon tier.
This is a boarder line TAS which was accepted. Which used a failed password in it's TAS [2059] SNES Mega Man X "password glitch" by FractalFusion in 16:56.88 Others in Moon and Stars. (Vault removed from list) Edit: I'm more interested on Radiant's POV about this.

Pointing something out in terms of Votes. We have 3 votes to "Something else (post in thread)". But we have only one person who "(post in thread)" Unless I'm poorly misreading then we have 0 people who have infact posted their thoughts when selecting that one. Also to the one who voted "You suck" smart way to waste a vote. Edit: Got told that that Scepheo is one of the others. Sorry Scepheo for not acknowledging your point or missing it completely.

Well screw you too YouTube. downloads watches I like this one more than the other. I was a bit more entertained but pushing an A2600 TAS to a Moon is hard. I will give this a weak YES Seriously. Dropping the input at the end, nicely played. Also: YOU SO SHOULD'VE DIED! :P
