It's better that it won't get an openGL core honestly. Because again to expand my other post. Brimming with Plugin crap is literally N64's motto in current emulation and PlayStation is accurate enough where it doesn't need that and is preferable that it doesn't. Edit: I was reminded that N64 emulation is so incompetently put together they need plugins to just barely function. Also forgot to mention, then we'd hit the loop of being inaccurate to console. Where we're striving for accuracy.

Hang on, I got to call up Itoi and tell him that we're calling Mother "Earthbound Zero" and not the official English title "Earthbound Beginnings".

Cause Octoshock (mednafen core) doesn't rely on plugin crap to run the emulator.

Tetris Worlds for the GBA was outsourced to a different studio, which (from what I've played of it) feels like a rushed job. Later on in the TAS, you can see that I have to put in my button inputs before the Tetris piece is even displayed on the screen.
That's nice and all, but it doesn't back your opening comment about it being "barely be completed via a TAS" and your comments outright mention that it's not possible for the human. This comment that you've made doesn't have weight when I brought up real world examples of it being possible for a human (in this case humans) to complete. I don't have any comments towards your answers other than the argument of nothing existing means you should submit it 3 years later, cause that argues you could've created a refined movie. And being not a leaderboard page submitting a world record "just because there is no other movie" wouldn't guarantee it being accepted. ---

It's a VBA-Next movie, of course it'd sync on the later versions of BizHawk... under VBA-Next's core. As for VBA-Next to mGBA, yeah good luck with that, it unfortunately affects RNG heavily like you assumed.

This mode is notable because it can barely be completed via a TAS, let alone by a human player.
If I know my Tetris games and specifically Tetris Worlds which is my favourite version (I should be smitten by the Tetris Gods for stating that) that statement isn't true if you can't back your facts. In RTA confirmed we have 11 runs by 5 runners that show off their skill on the speedrun.com boards about this mode. The gameplay at a viewing standpoint is fine. However, I have questions. Why are we using BizHawk 1.11.5? That version is over 3 years old now. Why are you mashing your input at the start? This doesn't help with the low rerecord count is this botted? Shouldn't you be using more Tetris combos than you displayed due to the faster reaching of the goal in this mode? Cause that's where I disagree with how it's being played in this submission. And lastly. Your input has been trimmed down to end on final input (93 frames). Edit: I answered my own question about 1.11.5. It's because it was made 3 years ago.

Did you just delete several posts to merge them all into one and then bump it? Yes... Let's try this again. Link to video This is Chicken Run. The objective of this newer TAS is to be more of a guideline for a final TAS. The files will be downloadable after each part is done... such as this one. DOWNLOAD. Things to consider if you're making one and following this: - Hide that button input hud (select button) there is actually a loading advantage keeping that off. It is on for the purpose of this test. - No Memory Cards. - This game has Analog support for tighter turns, this TAS is using Digital Input instead and uses camera controls with L1/R1. - Previous information is still valid. - The current RTA World Record is 30:32 by Saiyanz at the time of writing. - All methods used in that RTA is basically everything a TAS needs to do if you want to skip waiting for me. And now to suffer and aim for a 0:53 or 0:54 Dog Chase.

It's a single minigame where all are available at the same time, this isn't no Point Blank where you had to unlock stuff (then again, the first two had exclusive story modes). Doesn't really have any entertainment to give for a single minigame, so I won't vote. Just an odd choice that the entire set wasn't done. This is more of a userfile movie to me than a submission.

Something else I learnt with premade footage and not emulation (which might lead to the same result depending on a few factors). A premade video let's say that's an hour long will jump around for the entire video and be done for instance in 40 minutes. The archived video will be an hour. A placebo or vframes might assist in this situation.

It's nice and all that it does improve on GlitchMan's TAS however, courtesy of Movie Rules.
Movie Rules wrote:
The movie's technical quality must be acceptable Don't be lazy. We will try and beat your movie. We should hopefully not succeed. See the Guidelines on how to make a movie that meets the site's standards.
This section right here usually makes or break a TAS. A recent user example is Mihoru. Where each of their TASes (except the first one) was looked under a heavy light after it was revealed that they're "lazy" on how they TASed, and movies were made to prove that they weren't optimal, or sections were called out for questioning which later revealed suboptimal input. This is the same thing here, but I wouldn't call Soig lazy. I reckon in this case it's just not enough work was placed into TASing... especially with the amount of Contra "pacifist" submissions/movies we received this year (which is 4 for anyone keeping track). It's unlucky that something he stated by not working this game (allegedly, I don't really keep up with Contra News), which gave someone else the green light to work on it and had to reveal their input on this submission. --- Edit: If you want another example, you can look at chatterbox's EarthBound TAS, the difference is the author's aware of the WIP existing. There's also this other one here where improvements were found after the creation of the TAS.

You upload it to the same place illayaya uploaded it. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/my#uploadfile Also 5 frames on what? Yourself? That'll make you 73 frames slower than illayaya. You should clarify. Edit: He clarified offsite that it was on illayaya. However, illayaya stated that the last stage was demo input. Also this red flags for me wondering how much was taken from illayaya's input.

Did a test with my quality Australian Internet™. People might need to consider adding a bitrate variable. Twitch also has a section dedicated to their encoding specs -b:v | specifies the target (average) bit rate for the encoder to use (-b:a for audio) -minrate | specifies a minimum tolerance to be used -maxrate | specifies a maximum tolerance. this is only used in conjunction with bufsize -bufsize | specifies the decoder buffer size, which determines the variability of the output bitrate You can use abbreviations like K for kBit/s and M for MBit/s. A constant bit rate would ask for the min, max and buf to be all the same values. It's also recommended to use the presets, ffmpeg defaults you to medium, which is conveniently the best for x264 Twitch. It's a tradeoff between compression efficiency and encoding speed. For streaming veryfast is usually the recommended one. -preset veryfast -preset faster -preset fast -preset medium Another thing to note, is that it looks like roughly the first 5 seconds will be lost. Don't know how to go about this other than padding which unfortunately I forgot the command to on ffmpeg. -- If for whatever reason you want to see the test and what I gathered. Video Used: Tetris 99 - 150 Lines Mode (8:40 test) Twitch Video - Will be deleting eventually as it was more of a test. (Probably automatically from twitch in 30 days) Refrence from YouTube What was used was the original video, not a download. Duration : 8 min 41 s Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 20.0 Mb/s Maximum bit rate : 40.0 Mb/s A bit overkill for Twitch.

- 2 Player - Easy AI Difficulty Personally, I'm more of a fan of the Hardest AI being crushed. As well as using the max amount of AI where it should be overwhelming for a human but it's a walk in the park for a TAS. With how it's set it's not technically entertaining or entertaining at all for me, if these two things were changed it might bump it to a Meh vote, but unfortunately with where it is I'm voting No here. Good improvement, just should've done more.

Because the Japanese users were usually instantly translated back to English by someone and didn't contain a rant that is several texts long as well as many other things. The preferred language on this site is English. You can still use your native language to show what you actually meant if direct translation isn't working but if you know both languages then translate it back even if it's not 100% what you meant. Otherwise we have to take Xipo's word that you're swearing at him, which fun fact in Google doesn't come up with what's said 100% of the time if you're not a native speaker. However, it was able to figure out your aggressive comments on your last 3 paragraphs.

Yeah, that's nice. We're not even comparing with a WIP, it's more of a minor point. We're comparing to a canned submission which is faster, which is apparently the major point you're ignoring or missing or glossing over.

this still doesnt explain why your submission is slower than Mr.K's submission.
Why do you guys like hiding your improvements here and there?... Or submitting an improvement and then cancel it? And you won't continue your work after cancelling it... I know the modern record is belongs to hero of the day. I know you upload your WIPs. And I know there are many movies in RTA website. So I compared with them and learned from them. But I DO NOT KNOW there is a cancelled submission being hided at an inconspicuous corner in this site... And unfortunately, after those stages in your wips, mine is slower than his. But what's the point of telling me that at this time? Why there are guys always saying that they can improve this run while it is being judged? You must want others to praise you, in my opinion.
I mean all you have to do is a 3 step thing. 1. Open up Sub List. 2. Select Cancelled and Rejected. 3a. Reorder Movie Name so it's alphabetized. 3b. Ctrl + F : Contra It's not "hiding" anywhere. Also the extra step of checking your game, with the game list which can bring up usermovies which is listed under "WIPs". http://tasvideos.org/Game-List.html One of these two methods is what EZGames did to find out if your movie could possible have issues. --- This is something you, yourself can do by verifying that you're beating all known records. This isn't something that's worth ranting over about when you could've just verified yourself if a run existed. All it means is just try again, after all you push out a lot of content to begin with.

See this is how we're reading what you're writing: "I'm not actually doing the race." This is what you meant: "I'm actually just performing a glitch whilst racing this map and that I abuse to either finish the race from the first lap or to jump to the final lap in the race." You're still racing this map you aren't skipping it. You're just performing a major glitch to further progress whilst still doing the map. In the better explanation sense.

Just as a bit of a point out. This was one of the reasons you were rejected on the previous movie for omitting 9/10 tracks on your previous movie. Now you're leaving 17 of them out.
