It's very undeserving by your part by not crediting MrWint as an author especially when you straight bullied him on his movie. You dismissing him here too? The fact that entertainment had to be pointed out when reading came off like a massive jab against the currently published movie (and your own prior one, even though you state "maximum entertainment"). On the topic of entertainment, in comparison to this and MrWint's I prefer Wint's direction of the movie compared to yours. So in terms of comparison and entertainment I'm giving this a Meh. Shotgun the publication even after all I wrote, after all I have been the one who has reencoded all of Super Mario Bros..

So due to Bisqwit not recalling how the original encode was made all these years ago and the only reference I have is Dacicus' downloadable this needs to be pointed out. During the final fight at Joker Bisqwit fails to advance into the credit sequence, instead Batman stays dead in its tracks. Checking over how the input is placed it seems intentional that the input ends after the final hit, but what occurs after such as going straight to the credit sequence without additional input is unknown. This TAS/Game doesn't run into a desync issues I checked both the other Famtasia TASes to be sure. It's straightforward for a Famtasia TAS. Rather than modifying input provided, I took the alternative approach of extended the input, as the case of the input ended too early being the case. User movie #47283525293912320 I'm requesting that the movie file to be corrected to the file I'm providing as well as that TAStime. Without the original encode that was made we don't know if there was additional input done manually by the encode (Bisqwit) was made or not.

Well too bad the things that plague the emulator is that: - Is a hack. Any problems to Game X is resolved with a hack. - Software Mode (the mode we want) Operates like shite because... - It's deliberately underpowered (You have to hack, the hack to make it perform). - Inaccurate I'd rather wait for DobieStation to go full accuracy power running every game for the exclusives... or just use Dolphin for Game X or Game Y that's between the 2 platforms than dealing with a hack like PCSX2. Also, this was a thing that was only brought up back to them, after denying putting TAS emulators years ago cause the staff changed. Screw them.

Just to quickly point out a line in the subtitles. Specifically the first line. (Emphasis mine.)

Nope. It's taking the correct amount of time to the original console the emulator is based off on (PS1) to load up. What you're basing your fact here on a PS2 on Fast Disk which is not what the emulator is aiming for in terms of accuracy to the console. Edit: And the other 3 times it was mentioned/touched upon.

Again, you're playing on an emulator aiming towards PS1 accuracy not PS2 FDS. This isn't psxjin/pcsx-rr.

>Accurate NES Resolution >426x240 It's 256x224 you fool! (320x240 for 4:3) That resolution you wrote is a 16:9 aspect ratio size which is nowhere even close. It's already doing the correct Aspect Ratio for the NES, for when it's played on a TV. What you want to do is to scale down to a lower resolution if you're complaining about the size. But I don't know cause the explanation of what you want is questionable itself.

This month's one would be borderline NSFW if you do pause it at the right wrong timing. This occurs in the second pickup. April 2018: Link to video

Mentioning anything from the Rankings in detail (and forgetting the pickups) is a spoiler regardless, you've mentioned without hiding it or using the spoiler tag, thus spoiling the spaghetti. As well as incentivizing users to watch it instead of being spoilt.

Ok. I'm not providing the subtitles in the publication. For a 6 hour movie, with just above 100 lines of information it's just not worth it. The subtitles does these things: - Character Traits Changing (Occurs once, 3 lines) - Boss' Name, HP, Attack, Defense. (24 lines) - What Hoandjzj is actually doing. (7 lines) - Misc (2 lines) And here's what I consider the worst offender: - Re-explaining what the game has already stated or restating something that was brought up earlier in a cutscene that you went through already. (67 lines) (Character is now here, cause the plot already said why.) Like, cool. summarisation and all, but my gripe is that how's it's dealt and how much information is filled up for a DS game, spacing correcting, like I can do that. I can separate, inform the viewer when the subtitles are coming in with fades but when the subtitles for some of the summaries come out as missing information, or doesn't make sense even after correcting the structure with what's provided it's like, what do? I mean, inform the author yes, but is it worth it when it's only 103 lines for 6 hours? No. The commentary just feels more of a rush job when you dive deep into looking at it, which doesn't help at all. (It also doesn't help when the submission text has more information than the subtitles.) To compare DS RPG commentaries. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is a 2 and a half hour TAS that has 139 lines (at default subs). And that has explanation on what the author is doing and cracking jokes about it. (Hey, I'm done with this area... nope.) Just straight explaining what they're doing and not bothering with explaining the cutscenes that are being skipped.

I mean, the better question is asking why the subtitles weren't extracted and placed into the YouTube video. Cause that's more sound option on being able to view the subtitles better. Also be glad that the subtitle encode is also a larger resolution otherwise the text would've been cut off by the nice tiny NES native screen. Subtitle Editors on the TASing emulators default to 0,0. So if they want to put effort into moving it, then cool, go nuts. I agree that the subtitles are going by pretty fast. A Publisher should probably look into fixing the timing that if arkiandruski doesn't. (Not it. Cause I'm currently dealing with 2 different ones... technically 3.) My vote on this movie is a Yes... just barely Yes. But it's a Yes nevertheless.

Ah yes, this shall be mine to Publish. God damn love everything about this TAS from start to end, I love the improvement with the sheer amount of glitches and the way that it all ties together to show how much from the last movie is damn incredible. Yes Vote.

Just for the sake of showing an example. [2413] PSX Tenchu: Stealth Assassins (USA) by Hâthor in 29:52.65 [2648] PSX Tenchu: Stealth Assassins (Japan) by NhatNM in 16:34.17 Strategies and methods are different between the two as the Japanese version is lacking two stages (4 and 5 in the US), and when doing the levels onwards, the method can be immensely different due to having a different loadout that you can have selected. And for the sake of mentioning. The Japanese market did get a revision version where it added what was missing/lacking which the US version has including the two missing levels.

Much like every other newcomer who comes to TASVideos and does a SMB TAS. You're slower than the currently published one by a margin: [3665] NES Super Mario Bros. "warpless" by MrWint in 18:37.46 If you want to upload your TASes without getting straight rejections and become a Limited User unable to submit movies upload your movies here: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/ Only submit a movie when you are faster than a currently published movie.

(Then again, the TAS is more obvious that it's a playaround when the TAS is in the Moons and not the Vault.) For that speedrun. Not Enough Bicycle Kicks / 10.

Well it's not wave 1 and only wave 1 like you displayed in this TAS. Basically read what I wrote after your post on the Coleco submission. That's how you determine it.

>Starts from 9 (and only does 9). Right, bit of a shame this isn't a progression thing. This is the biggest letdown for me about this entire TAS as a person who prefers to watch Arcade games (ports) to progress instead of straight up starting in the middle of nowhere. Galaxian is the game I have the least knowledge on loops, but the difficulty in the game does increase as shown. (There's probably a value to show off the enemies' aggressiveness.) Finding the loop in Galaxian is much harder to do so as it's always the same layout. Since this wasn't continued further we don't know if there was more than a single level especially later in the game. I'm voting No on entertainment.

Emphasis by me so I can address the elephant in the room in that query.
Soig wrote:
How about expanding the submitter's authority to its own submission? Such as replacing the movie file, setting to delayed?
How about no. Giving a feature such as modifying a submission can actually be damaging to TASVideos say that the person wants to leave TASVideos they can pretty much wipe all their TAS submissions from existence. File Replacement is also done as a way of checking by someone else that the file still syncs, the original submission file should stand as is, until a sync is done by that is checking. That's when the file is replaced. This is a bad suggestion, it should only be moderated by those that are the Judging Staff or part of the Senior Role of TASVideos, not a submitter who is just a user. Setting to delayed is probably the better suggestion in your query but probably to an extent as infinite delay will be annoying and would probably pass as a Rejection in the end after a set amount of time has passed, but not the replacing of a movie.

Going off the encode that exists, that you made, that you haven't linked here yet (since I already watched it) which I'll assume is just the wrong time cause you didn't trim it properly for the YouTube encode and got corrected for submission. This TAS is really well made. My main issue with this TAS is when you go downtime you just do left, right input to wait about... which can be nauseating to some people... especially when it's something constant. Mainly due to this is the reason why I've leaned towards Meh is because of the input you chose to use for downtime. The other reason is that it's pushed to a Meh Vote is that the game is very boring. Author Commentary/Subtitles would be a nice addition to this TAS to explain the technical aspects of how crap of a clone this game is, much like the AGDQ18 commentary to this game. I'll also shotgun the publication while I'm here when this gets accepted to whatever tier. Again. Well done.

Right... I'm only posting this cause you're focused on one Switch emulator between the 2 posts and not mentioning the other one, Ryujinx. For the sake of a quick rundown on first boots. yuzu: - The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ (InGame, Will lead to a crash) - Puyo Puyo Tetris (crashes at splash screen) - Cave Story + (crashes/hardlocks after an opening cutscene) Ryujinx: - The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ (InGame, much further than yuzu) - Cave Story + (InGame, much further than yuzu) - Tiny Barbarian DX (InGame) Terms of playability, iirc yuzu currently has Ryujinx beat on Isaac but nothing majorly since Ryujinx can actually get into Cave Story +.
