Actually to correct you. It's "Beat the Game" or "Softlock%" cause giving it a category such as "any/100%" makes no sense when you're beating a game with no other value it could give you.

Coming in second, and only doing a single cup. This is a bit of a bum rush of a TAS especially when we have: [1126] SNES Super Mario Kart by cstrakm in 21:27.02 [3243] N64 Mario Kart 64 by Weatherton in 20:33.32 [2392] N64 Micro Machines 64 Turbo "all courses" by Weatherton in 23:51.37 [3386] PSX TOCA Touring Car Championship "max points" by Noxxa in 10:37:18.72 That drained out everything that could be done. I'm going to vote Meh on the terms of entertainment.

There is not much that can be saved TASing this game as it is mostly running around skipping dialog.
Well besides the: Dialouge: Which is shoddy. Movement: Which is tardy. You know, the only two things that this game has.

And that's the reason it's shoddy & tardy. You're taking everything for granted and not taking what the judges have written on your previous rejected TASes.

Shotgun the publication. I gave up when I did a while back, so I'm glad someone else spent more than 5 hours dealing with this. Will vote later but it'll most likely be a No in terms of entertainment.

To Incorporate BizHawk's VBoy.
Language: avisynth

Import("pack\Pantarheon3D.avsi") sauce = AVISource("movie.avi") L = sauce.Crop(0, 0, 384, 224).Levels(0, 1, 255, 0, 157) R = sauce.Crop(384, 0, 384, 224).Levels(0, 1, 255, 0, 157) yt3d(L, R).AudioDub(L)
Same stuff we've been using, just that since we're already in greyscale just go straight to doing the level to not be shit. The other code that needs to be added is this (due to YouTube's update):
ffmpeg -i input_file.mkv -c copy -metadata:s:v:0 stereo_mode=1 output_file.mkv
This forces YouTube to recognize it as a 3D video. --- This also means, that the stuff changes for VBjin. (can we nuke it now?) Just change the colouring to greyscale from what we're already meant to do and do this to the script.

I was able to match this on my own. I am a bit confused by 5 cause I did that method first and it was slower but whatever. If MESHUGGAH can spell my username right and if he's fine with it, replace with this and add his name if he wants to be co-auth. (Also rip .69 for 5569S) Edit: MESHUGGAH just said use the file and don't add him as co-auth. (Attempting to translate what was just given to him)

19 Virtual Boy games. This is one of 'em. Welcome to hell. Population: Those who are going to TAS this... like me. Encode: https://youtu.be/XBl_QC_gViI Basically the video is a proof of concept, demoing and actually doing the first 3 levels. (Also, I got to learn how to deal with 3D Videos again with YouTube updating their damn shit, but thankfully they provided a script.) The entire goal of what a TAS of Mario Clash is to go from 1 to 99 without death. The game loops at the end of the 99th level which means there's lots of fun to be had. There is a difference between original 1 and loop 1 but I think it starts from later in the level order if I recall correctly. The alternate goal is to be faster than the longplay (obviously) which was done in VBjin. After waiting a good 2 years for a Virtual Boy x BizHawk the project starts. I am actually open to making this a group project too just prepare yourself for enjoying good ol' VirtualBoy hell fun. Users using 2.0 will have the pleasant surprise of crashing when loading up a SegaCD game. Users of BizHawk 1.13.1 and older won't be having these issues.

When you have a PS1 game running: PSX > Options Select "Mednafen Mode (4:3 AR)" and all your worries about the changing resolutions will be gone. You'll still have to deal with interlaced fun cause 480i. Unless I'm reading this all wrong. Cause when you provide screenshots from the PS1 core via BizHawk, your settings get ignored and the screenshots just become 1:1 without giving a damn about any settings you provided.

I'm going to re-bring something that was stated two different times in IRC (the blunder & correction). My blunder is admitting that a run with Renamon would be about 2 minutes slower than Reapermon. However. I was accounting for Easy difficulty not Hard. In this case when it falls to the hardest difficulty the time it would take to actually complete this TAS with a character that you're provided from the start skyrockets in terms on how much slower it would be. So that's the fact.

I already watched this and was gathering my thoughts for about 2 hours after it went live to YouTube. --- Hello, Crash IL runner here. Specifically Orient Express. There seems to be some stuff that is off in your movement during this and Midnight Run. Like for instance, being out in the open for too long. There's a video on nicovideo (and now YouTube) that popped out yesterday about Orient Express. Link to video That user is faster than you after you getting a well enough lead, they caught up and passed you. Streamable Link for Comparison (Synced up to landing on Pura): https://streamable.com/6yu8d Even though I have less experience in Midnight Run I know that you were definitely out in the open for way too long. You also take damage abuse in Midnight Run when there's a no Damage Abuse method which is TAS preferred. Link to video The RTA runners only use it to quickly make that height. Forgot to mention that the video was using the older method of the no damage, it got updated where you can slide into the warp like damage abuse (before it happened on damage) (edit) Now I can't tell via video playback even going by frame by frame. But did you wiggle when you were in the air at any point? According to the notes you did. --- The Run Itself / Other Levels The TAS is very technical for the platform segments but it's bloody boring. I'd rather see a non-zigzag variant. I'm glad you didn't do the speedrunner compromise as this is a TAS by keeping the SFX on. Dingodile could've been more entertaining. I want to question why you took deliberate damage in Tropy but eh. I was more entertained by the No Damage fight at N.Gin that lapogne created. Glad you took the Cortex is throwing at his computer, that I told you about. Due to how the downtime levels and how they performed in the TAS and actually keeping my entertainment for their bits I'm voting Meh. --- To whoever is publishing this. Make sure that you transcribe the audio commentary. --- Edit: Decided to read your submission text. Pura Segments specifically cause what'd you expect from a person who did Pura ILs. Tiger levels "To optimize this, jumping and zig-zagging is used." It was always called wiggling for anything that related to the two levels and the only change to the name would be the Zip-zagging movement which doesn't actually work well for the levels. "I use a strategy found in the time trial TASes where I get underneath the side railing of the level and use the collision down there to jump." No it wasn't Time Trial TASes. This was discovered by RTA runners and you can go as far back as a run done by trihex who did it by complete accident.
