About problem 1: Probably you're not using the right graphics output. We usually use either Direct3D9 or Direct3D11. Test them both and see if it works :P

I don't really need the build, it would be helpful though. As I have no experience about these builds, I have no clue how to do them. I can just continue rendering my videos how I'm used to, editing the audio in Sony Vegas, though, if it's not possible to someone build it.

Okay, so I just found out some addresses for Heroes. It will be a lot helpful for me while TASing, so I'll post them here:
-Forward speed addresses
SPEED character: 009da280
POWER character: 009db9e0
FLY character: 009dadb0
-Vertical speed addresses
SPEED character: 009da284
POWER character: 009db9e4
FLY character: 009dadb4
PS: the ones for the fly character only works while flying, which means that it doesn't work while only jumping.

All stories won't be done, mostly because that basically everything would be done four times, the other teams have almost the same levels (I mean, the same path). The only exception would be Team Chaotix, because of their missions. It would take a lot of time to find an optimal route for all the levels though, and as this team doesn't have a speed cap, I don't think it would be worth to make a TAS of it.
About the differences between the teams, let's say that Team Sonic is the same as Team Dark and Team Rose is the same as Team Chaotix, those teams have the same actions/moves.
As Team Sonic/Dark, you can do kicks to increase your speed, and it makes the TAS speed trick to be possible (kick with speed character, wait one frame to get the speed, change to fly and change back to speed to break the kick, and then repeat it to continue increasing speed). These teams can also do light dashes (follow the rings), and sometimes when you do a light dash, go towards the ring in an insane speed, depending on your position. And if you change to the fly character while you're going towards the ring, you can keep the speed.
Now, as Team Rose/Chaotix, you CAN'T kick with the speed character. That means that these teams don't have a speed cap. So to increase speed, you can either do a rocket accel (hold B with the speed character and wait for another character to push you forward) or do a ground pound with the power character and switch to speed before reaching the ground. You can also use the ground pound to reach higher places with the fly character (just change to fly before reaching the ground and jump when you reach it). Actually, there's a difference between those teams: Amy can float on the air. I don't think that it would be helpful in a TAS because you could just fly or triangle dive to clear big gaps.
Also, using a triangle dive to keep the speed is possible with all the teams, but as Rose/Chaotix don't have a speed cap, you wouldn't skip so much of the level as Sonic/Dark.

As I haven't unlocked E-102 or Amy before I reached there, it shows the text of "Now you can play with AMY", as well with E-102, right after the cutscene after the fight. And when this text plays, you have no control at Tails and he disappears, but you can actually control him for 1 frame. And if you jump in this frame, the camera will try to follow him and will be messed up. I just did that for entertainment XD
And after that, you just continue the game normally, going to Station Square (you go there in the cutscene, no need to go there in the playthrough)
