How about you read my post.

That's not how we handle framewars. All participants have contributed to making the movie shorter, so when no one can improve it anymore, the person who makes the final improvement makes a new submission with all participants as co-authors.

Frame war! I'm not continuing though since I don't enjoy the game at all.

We need "full installation steps" for dependencies to prevent any future confusion with replaying the movie. What command did you use to install those libs?

Would you mind turning this into some kind of a picture? This game is apparently so complicated that it'd be really hard to comprehend or explain to others with just pure text.

Please list the exact steps that are needed to make this game run in libTAS (aside from OS installation itself).

The only thing I remember is that NTSC palette doesn't look so green and dirty when you watch a real console on a TV: it's warmer and nicer, dunno how it works. Then of course NTSC means "never the same color", so it's impossible to establish one true most accurate palette for all.

[13:12:54] <feos> zeromus: what was the background behind fceux palette again? http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21392 [20:27:42] <zeromus> feos, there is no background behind fceux palette. it was chosen a long time ago due to someone's feelings. dont debate with people about palettes. you can choose whatever palette you want in every nes emulator.

While Match-Up is admittedly not a particularly entertaining game mode to see TASed on its own, and I imagine would've been unlikely to get accepted anyway, this is a gamemode rather than a minigame like the previous submission. Are you just trying to say that only an "All Pair Games" category or something similar would be acceptable on TASVideos, or has there been a misunderstanding?
BTW what exactly makes it a mode and not a minigame?

That's not a TAS related gameplay feature. If the game is otherwise the same as the official release, we prefer the latter.

Why do you need it anyway instead of the Japanese one?

Seriously tho, it loos like that game didn't have an official USA release, so prototype is okay.

If one plays through all the Free Play minigames and in a different movie completes the Challenge mode, how many speedrun-elegible minigames will remain untased? Also in those modes, how many minigames don't make sense to speedrun?

Previously, the workbench OPs had a red text saying "Due to the abuse that happened, lurkers can't vote anymore". Dunno where it's gone.

I've been reading information about this game and it seems not everything about it is described clearly. Among "Party Games", "Pair Games", and "House Party", there are some minigames and some non-minigames? I mostly understand the nature of those 3 modes, but how else do they sub-divide?

I found it somewhat repetitive and voted Meh. Not enough variety and action, since it's 1P and the movement speed is quite low.

The Castle movie is way too distracting with constant weapon screens, even in the supercut. Here's it's way more watchable. I don't mind having both movies separately, but if one is to TAS other maps, I'd prefer having all 4 in one movie, Resident Evil 4 "The Mercenaries".

Then splitting it by minigames or modes feels arbitrary.
Movie Rules wrote:
Games without clear ending Games that loop endlessly without some kind of ending can still have a defined ending point, which can be any of the following:
  • The game reaches a point where difficulty stops increasing and no new content is left to complete.
    • If the game allows to choose which levels to visit, all such levels need to be visited to establish that no new content will appear anymore.
On the other hand, some minigames or modes make no sense to speedrun. Was the plan to TAS all of them or just some specific ones?

Well, I found one more submission that is marked with "maximum score" branch name and rejected due to a mentioned reason, but it hasn't been unrejected yet. #4641: negative_seven's NES Flappy Bird "maximum score" in 5:19:36.02
Not a notable homebrew, trivial to TAS, and the movie lasts for too long.

Tin Star is the only one I know of at this point. I was recently looking into TASing it which is why starting this topic occurred to me. Now unfortunately, based off the submission notes, it seems like this submission has some optimization problems. It might very well be worth rejecting again :(
I'd like an encode.

The RTA rules for this category say "ALL cheat codes are BANNED from use EX: Super Speed Cheat". Do you use that cheat here? Also can 2-player mode be faster than 1-player? BTW, if you don't maximize all upgrades, they can't be an additional part of the full completion definition. If the ones you maximize are required to beat the game ASAP, then they are implied and don't need to be spelled out.

Does any of these modes have an ending with credits?
