Hey, months ago kaan55 told me how I can made a 2-players movie in a game. Thank you so much! And thanks to this community too. I want to share here my first 2-players TAS Movie that I really finished. This game is Sonic 2 Advanced Edit... despite being an unfinished game, the playable levels are good! Consider it a "just for fun" TASing, because this game is not good for a submission: Link to video

A 20 second improvement (upd) just for fun I’ve done 2 more acts.
Hey WST and Twit, I discovered a glitch in the second boss of this game, that you can defeat him with only 1 HIT! This saves a lot of time. And... I tried a zip in zone 2 that failed and some zips in first level (failed too, but can be optimized more). As camhack don't works in this game on gens-s1 and I don't know how to fix it, I can't try to optimize these zips because the character is off-screen. Also, here is the video: (upd) the last zip in this video, if optimized before, I think that will leave that "20 second improvement" of WST obsolete. Have fun! Link to video

I would try to improve it but like I said in the S3K thread I'm unable to do any tasing for the next 3ish weeks. That tas does indeed look improvable. For one you didn't even do basic Sonic 1 movement at the start of every level which is hold <> for one frame to instantly gain 128 speed and then jump (you accelerate twice as fast in the air).
Also kaan55, these two movies are improvable in various things. So, if you want to improve these runs someday when you want, feel free! This hack really don't have much potential to be submited at here.. but it's cool visualize side by side the differences and mistakes.

Thanks for your replies, guys. :) As for my TAS, I don't think it would be a good idea to submit it because it uses an unofficial ROM hack in play. It might also be rejected for not having good entertainment enough and/or it could be optimized more. I just want to be on the safe side, and I was wondering if that's ok. Also, thank you, matheusbrancobs, for providing the link to your movie. As for Star Light's loops before the boss, I did try to glitch through them but unfortunately failed. On a side note, I do plan on making a comparison encode, but I'm not really too good with making encodes myself.
Don't worry... at Star Light loops, in overview, it's a bit hard to do, because needs specific jumps in specific positions and frames to get it, and too a [Jump] [_] [Jump] before the skip. Also, about the encoding and comparisons, let me do it... today I'll post it in my channel, with some notes in description too!

WOAAH NICE! Very good I put in the description of my video the .gmv movie file of my TAS (now obsolete), so... if you want to improve this better and better (like in the loops of Star Light for example), feel free! http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1481694440/Doctor_Robotniks_Plan_B_REV01_%28Painto%29_%28SHC2016%29.gmv (P.S It means 7:55 because I accidentally edited this later... the last required input entry is at 7:49) Also, be WELCOME here!!!

TwitTas and matheusbrancobs, here's a modified version of the romcheck file for the Sonic hud. This will allow the hud to work with some unsupported Sonic 1 hacks. Make sure you make a copy of the original unmodified romcheck file so that you can swap between the 2 (the modified file causes the hud to not work with non Sonic 1 roms). http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=1581566
Thank you! but I rarely uses Sonic hud..

Hey no problem. Track recording is probably the most important tool for making a multiplayer run but it's not readily obvious. Are you planning on making a 2 player run?
I am making a 2 players movie of an another game, and then I'm thinking to make this in "Sonic 2 Advanced Edit", just for training

Sorry for being late to reply here, so ... thank you all for receiving me ;) Also, what is the best way to make a 2-players movie in Gens? (How to record 1 player and then record the second player and join all) I still don't know..

Hi, I would like to present myself here! I recently joined TASing (less than a year ago) and I still have a lot of things to learn. As I am in an "intermediate level", I would say that my focus for now is to keep training by making TASes of Sonic hacks, especially those are being released in "SHC" recently, so that maybe someday I can participate in a serious project here, when I'm much more experienced. My first TAS was "Super Mario Bros Genesis", it was rejected in my another account, and... I also training some "Ring Attacks" in more simple games, just for fun. Here is an example: Link to video not much more to say ... the first TAS I watched was in 2010 (Sonic 2 in 19:55 by Nitsuja), but only in last year I decided to try something, so if you want to follow my progress, here is my channel ^
