any books from "Peter F Hamilton" are worth reading, but i recomend starting with "Fallen Dragon". While most of his books are series, that one is singular.

I'm at a family members house, and when they installed windows 2000, they thought it would be good to install it in french, since they used french a bit, and consider themselves a "french" family. They realize now how little french they actually remember and are sick of translating everything. So i've been asked to change the language. problem is, i dont speak french, and cant even find my way around the control panel enough to figure it out (windows looks totally different in french) If anyone can help, that would be awesome.

What the hell is this? I'm trying to read it, but all he says is what's right and wrong, without saying what anything really is. is he trying to prove the earth is flat or something? i'm really confused.

I ran across another version of DK Country this morning. It's a Snes Competiton cartridge (or rom) that was sent free to members of Nintendo Power many years ago. When you reset the game, you start in the first level imediately. you have 5 minutes and a point counter. Various things get you points. Banana = 1 point DK Barrel = 10 points Bash enemies = Various points. When you die, or complete a level, you see no screens, just either restart the level or move on. The goal? To get as many points as you can in the 5 minutes you are given. Anyone think this type of Race would be good? Bisqwit, i think this question is more directed at you.

Okay, this is probably about as Off Topic as it's ever going to get on this forum, but i have a bio question. I've been out of school for 6 years now, so i have no way to go back and look anything up. I understand the 00-A0-B0-AB Relationships in blood types, but i have questions about RH +/- Simply put, is this another double contribution type? where everyone has either --/-+/++ ... Whereby if you have a + in your mix you are positive, but are capable of passing a - if you also have it? or is it a one type relationship whereas you are either + or -, and a + person is guarantee'd + children no matter what thier mate is. (the latter actually doesn't make sense since we've been reproducing for so many thousands of years, you'd think there would be no -'s left around) Or is it even deeper, whereas you actually pass on (A-O+) and then math it out from there. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I've been working on a run at Super Mario World for Snes, and so far i've run through levels 1-3 MANY times, and every time, no matter what, i get the EXACT same time as Bladegash's attempt. I've decided to move on and work on later levels, but i'm loosing hope. Is it possible that Bladegash has the best time possible?

Just so ya guy's know, the AVI recording is a little tricky to get working, but there is a bunch of info in some text files you get with it. Just play around. But i think most of us are interested in just the Re-Recording stuff, and that works JUST like the Famtasia one.

Thank you Blip, that's what most of us wanted to know. Better question. Instead of bugging you for info, is there any .news site we can get that information from?

Woah WOah woah, you guy's are going WAY to far on this one. Here's the straight shit. 1) You guy's dont own the work Bisqwit is showing 2) Speedrunners dont own the work they're giving to Bisqwit. So that cut's them BOTH out of the decision making process. I'l keep going 3) Games are licensed for use, in specific countries. Most of the ones we use are region 1 (North america) or otherwise. 4) Nobody, NOBODY, is allowed to reproduce those under any circumstances (this includes speedrunners, re-recording is in it's own right illegal) As far as international rights, see #3. They are on under licence for specific countries. Going outside of a country to sell it is still illegal. NOW THE REALITY. These games were made years ago. The copyrights (and other laws) are barely enforced anymore. This is because of one thing. What we are doing is harmless. Making video's only encourages others to play them. Wether they're bought or used on rom's, the dev's no longer care because they know they cant make money anyway. They're contracts for producing Cartriges are long gone. This however does not make it legal. If WE started using it for ANY type of thing that made ANYONE money, they WOULD enforce the laws, and shut sites like Bisqwit down, in a heartbeat. please please please, NO NOT TRY TO SELL THESE. No, the speedrunners and Bisqwit cannot stop you, but Namco, Nintendo, and others WILL. and they will stop ALL our fun with the media.

The only famtasia version i can find at Zophar's is the V6 tester version, and the link to the owners website is broken (403 error). This version is so buggy i have a hard time beliving all these movies were made with it. Can anyone tell me what version you are using? it's not contained in the help files on this site.
