Aqfaq's Comments

It is an old movie, but it looks like I'm not redoing the game in the near future, so I might as well submit it.
It uses different death and health management to save time. For example, one death is avoided in the beginning of world 1-3.
Also, in the final shop, the weapon is downgraded to get money for another extra life, allowing one more death in the final level. This was one of the "major" improvements, saving 28 frames, if I remember correctly.
It is still improvable, but finishing a new movie is harder than I thought. I'm looking forward to the day somebody finds the ultimate timesaver that I totally missed!
There is also a 2 frames faster movie, which reduces lag by disabling hint messages, but it is less entertaining: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1257299063/gods-no-hints.gmv

Anoobis' Comments

THERE IS NO GODS! ONLY ME!

SOON, EVERYTHING WILL BE ÖBSÖLETED!

Mukki: Judging...
Mukki: Accepting as an improvement to the currently published run.

This place is going mad.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting. If TASing is meta-play, TASVideos Movie Rules are meta-meta-play!

Yeah, I mean I can't encode ALL Aqfaq's Anoobis' new runs, they arrive too fast. But the whole plot of what I see lately is really weird (don't you notice?) XD

Hint: Return a pot to the stores. Hint: Find another pot for special bonus. Hint: Illuminate the study to end the world. Damn, I never realized how stoned this game sounds. :)

Can you say what's the point of doubling the encodes with mere dumps? Whether it has been already youtubed or uploaded to mediafire. I can get when you upload vids of WIPs (& appreciate it!), but this...

I don't know what you mean with that but I appreciate his YT upload being 2:40 into the video as of now, it actually looks like a decent TAS due to all the shit going on at the same time on the screen (lots of enemies and shooting), I'll probably vote yes edit: oh wow, it even ends with a bang xD yes vote

I mean, why youtube what's already youtubed & upload what's already uploaded (not vice versa).

Nice! If this is how good your runs are when you're pissed off, Anoobis, remind me to anger you more ;-) Smart idea to downgrade your weapon for more money as well! Yes vote. If you're looking for games to obsolete, I'm pretty sure a bunch of us have ideas to suggest... :)
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. I don't like the music and I don't like the artstyle, but the movie makes short work of the game. So yeah, sure whatever, do publish this.

Well, here are some basic suggestions, looking through old movies. Here, I'm trying to put down medium-length games, generally platformers, where there's less long-distance planning. Of course, you could also scroll through old games for other possible targets...
