This is a Famicom game, I'm trying to attempt to TAS it, but I'm stuck on 4-2.

If you're just going to have some fun TASing this game, go with it. But if you want to submit a publishable movie, I highly recommend you to choose another game (preferably not Mario). All the good Mario games have been TASed to death, and this game just has some changed graphics, nothing else. And your name indicates that you want to use Famtasia... This emulator is not allowed anymore for publication.

No, I use FCEUX (Why the hell I choosed that usename), I know that Famtasia is not allowed anymore. I'm stuck in 4-2 because I can't going through walls there, but I CAN do the flagpole pole glitch and going through walls in 1-2, the Youtube link doesn't even help me do the wall trick in 4-2, but thanks anyway!

The SMB1 game resources page has some more detailed info on how to pass through walls more easily; though it was written for SMB1, it can also be applied to all the other games that use its engine (SMB2J, Vs. SMB, and ANNSMB). Hope that'll help you some more. :) ...Were you planning on doing the A-D worlds, too? Just curious. :o

No, I was planning a warps run, but I can go through walls in 1-2, just not 4-2, I trying to look in runs, but it didn't help, The tricks page don't have a 4-2 GIF, but I won't be needing the Super Mario Tricks page, but thanks!

I made my movie. Here's the link! http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1826284162/annsmb1-TMWF.fm2 I wonder about submitting this, of course I did the flagpole glitch, and going through walls in 1-2 and 4-2.

Don't submit it, this game is just a graphical rehash of regular SMB.

It has level changes, the last level is an edited version of the last level of Super Mario Bros. 2. At the end, The princess seems to wear a geisha outfit, the emimies have been changed, and the mushrooms retainers were replaced by All Night Nippon celebraties, please try watching my movie to see if you like it.

As I already said. As far as I have seen, there is exactly one level with a changed level layout, and there is a sound effect if you brake. That's not enough for a hack an officially licensed hack.

It's still not a hack, Fuji Television published it in 1986, but did you watch my movie?

Your movie was technically well done. You chose the wrong game if you want to get a movie published here. It would be rejected for bad game choice. You might find it interesting to know why this submission got rejected, as this would apply to your movie as well:

This is basically identical to Super Mario Bros. 1 for the NES [...] I see no need for such a movie, and I think the original game should be the obvious choice when TASing a game.
I wondered I couldn't find any rule which explicitly states something like this.

You can play as Luigi for a higher jump. Play as luigi. It would make the run a bit different.

I actully came up with that, it's seems different, I made a test, but I don't think it's good to use him, because he can't go through walls, and I thought a Mario version is more entertaining.

I think I'm gonna give up on this game for the Luigi version, I'm keep getting fireworks in the game, so that wasted a perfect movie. ): I wish I would post the Mario version.

Why can't Luigi get through walls? He can in the Japanese Super Mario Bros 2... and, about the fireworks, just waste a few frames...

Luigi jumps very high, I think that's the problem(?) for going through walls. I finshed a Luigi version: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1412225831/annsmb-luigi-TMWF.fm2
