Rockman EXILE is a game hacked from Mega Man 2 (The USA version of Rockman 2), But it's much harder than Mega Man 2. Although it's a hacked game, it's not "dirty", there's no programming, graphic or sound or any mistakes in this game. The bugs in this game is completely the same as Mega Man 2. The movie works well on FCEUX 2.1.6 or 2.1.5. Neither wrap nor password, I played it from beginning of the game and until the final boss dies. The Mega Man injured, but not died. I played as fast as possible. It was so hard that the making of the movie cost me 3 months. (I'm a student and I can't stop studying, and this is my first TAS movie)

DarkKobold: This movie is sufficiently slower than a known run. Rejecting. That said, I don't believe this hack is of publication quality to begin with. Rejecting for sub-optimality.

At least it's faster than submission #1472: airman2's NES Rockman Exile in 29:40.60, but not fast enough as the one on NicoVideo. I'll refrain from voting as I am not gonna see this video. There's room for improvement for the one in 26:23 on NicoVideo, either that, or I hope the one on NicoVideo gets submitted here with permission from the author of that video.

Now, ignoring there's apparently a faster version out, this TAS isn't too shabby to my eyes. It contained many standard mega man tricks applied nicely, and it, to the bare eye, looked optimized. There only were a few times where you took damage rather ungracefully, but I'm not sure that could've been avoided. As of this, fundamentally, I would like to see the TAS published here, even if it isn't the fastest run. (It makes for an easy obsoletion later, I guess) Voting yes.

I think I will make this game's other kind of TASes like "Hard Mode", "No injuries" and so on in the future. I will watch the movie 26:23 to study more about this game.

Good luck with an improvement, Jack Lv! I warn you, though: "No damage" runs are usually too slow to make good TASes. Playing "Hard Mode" could be entertaining!
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Substandard run. Others have or will point out the unoptimized parts. Would enjoy an improvement.

Having watched some of the Nicovideo run, I'm not really interested in this hack in the first place. There's some really questionable design decisions, for example: * White-on-black mid-ground-occluding clouds in Air Man * Terrible weapon-get color scheme * Overuse of spiked crushers, and use that exposes graphical glitches (from the chains they "hang" from) This really just looks like a rehash of MM2 with less interesting level design.

Sorry that I'll have to study hard for my high school exam (In Chinese language, "中考") this term for 5 months without being in front of computer until graduation from junior high... But I promise I will certainly improve this game's tas after that if I manage to enter a key senior high school. Jack Lv (Chinese name: "吕正")

Rockman Exile WIP: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/813642668/ExileTAS_002_woodman.fm2 This improves cstrakm's old movie. The tech in the woodman stage is possible. I think my NEXT = 2. so it is just a little low. Authors: aglasscage, cstrakm, woabclf
