Ninja going alone to save his love once again but ALONE!!ALONE?

Yes alone but there's robert haha

PRINCIPLE

  • abuses programming error
  • trick and glitch
-left+right
-left+down+up
-super ledge attack animation canceller (very useful)
  • manipulates luck(not much)
  • there are some situations which takes longer to complete without ninja clones.
  • Boss have been done as best as i can.
  • I slide in first stage to complete faster.it save 4 frame
  • take damage several time to save time.
  • doesn't use orange ninja clone(lonewolf)
Lets thanks scumtron for his amazing run that i copied so much from them.

Noxxa: Judging.
Noxxa: Rejecting due to poor viewer feedback. The run's goal fails to make the run sufficiently different to the published run, and doesn't seem to provide more entertainment either.

http://tasvideos.org/1497S.html Official TAS is 9:14 long. Care to explain a bit more about your "old glitch and strategy"?

No ghost ninja helpers.

I don't feel we need a new category if the only difference is that. =\

Hmm... interesting. You don't pick up any shadow clones, which should make the gameplay more like the other two NES Ninja Gaiden games. It sounds like a good console speedrunning challenge, but I'm not so sure I like it as a TAS. For one thing, in a "lonewolf" run, you have to take lots of damage, everywhere. It's no longer just for getting boosts to high platforms; you need to take damage just to avoid letting enemies slow you down, since your shadow clones aren't there to kill enemies behind you. This makes the run look sloppy, but it's unavoidable. The other big problem with a lonewolf run is the boss fights. You deal way less damage, so bosses go through more attack patterns. This was interesting to see for some of the final bosses (the first and last), but otherwise it wasn't as fun to watch. Furthermore, you saved all your ninja points for boss battles, so you couldn't use as many weapons during the stages, which makes those stages less interesting. I think this is fairly well-played. It's a low rerecord count compared to Scumtron's run, but I don't see any big mistakes. (I'd like to see more bosses slashed quickly by wobbling and slashing... it seems like that only works on some bosses though.) I'm not sure, though, that the goal is entertaining enough to be published alongside our current run. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on why you tried this run. What makes lone wolf interesting enough to be published alongside the current run?
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

So lonewolf is not entertaining. Ok lets try sword only (with clones)

Try "pacifist" with taking damage! The third game, it has the most amount of enemies. This would be real challenge and will require intresting decisions. Additional weapons are okay too.

If the only difference is a language, no. You need some solid reasons.

Oh, then go for it, if it gives reasonable advantages. Just make sure people would agree with your choise and won't fire up a holywar like here.

This looks well done and is as entertaining as you'd expect a Ninja Gaiden run to be. Biggest differences seem to be on bosses which was sometimes interesting. Sorry, but I don't think it's significantly different enough to publish. Not familiar with the (J) version but that could be interesting.
