This could actually save time as it would allow us to skip the ocarina cutscene.

As cool as that is, I can't imagine this would save time if you still have to go into the deku tree to get the slingshot.
Considering that the rest of the Deku Tree + cutscenes takes about 5 minutes (and that's the minimum), I'd say that this trick would save at least 3,5 minutes. If we were ever ot find a way to get the Ocarina + SoT + Spiritual Stones using BA, of course.
I'm pretty sure Acryte said all you needed was the SoT.

Right. My point still stands though.

Well you don't need the sling shot if you can find a way to hit the trigger for the bombchus. Maybe you can super flip up there or something.
I just tried triggering it with a deku nut out of a backflip. Unfortunately, you (a) can't use deku nuts during a backflip and (b) can't trigger switches with deku nuts at all.

Is there nothing in that room that can hit you?

Hmmmm. I might try something new here in a couple of weeks. I ordered a new computer from Newegg. Should be a fast mother fudger. Maybe the problem was my laptop was not running/playback Zelda Roms correctly. However, if this is the problem, I would love to jump back on this game. I saw sooooo many positive comments about my run on Google Video that I want to get this game in 1:40:00 - 2:00:00. Will get back with you in a while. Also, to manipulate the spiders in Deku Tree. Just keep starting from the previous room and enter the door at different frames/angles and such. Thats all I did and got lucky enough on my 2nd try :) Keep up the good work and hope to join back in here pretty soon.
Change my sig. again, and I will murder your pet fish.

Good to see you again, Guano. Thanks for the info about manipulating the spiders, I'll give it another go tonight. Any help you have to offer me for my run will be appreciated. :)

Mh, it's been a while since I've actually played the game, but afaik you need all three spiritual stones. If you play the SoT without all three the door doesn't open and they kind of freeze in mid-air or something, don't they?

You can't get the Song of Time without all three Spiritual Stones. Once you have all three and go to HTCM, the cutscene of Impa and Zelda escaping plays, Zelda throws the Ocarina of Time in the moat, you pick it up, and that's when you learn the SoT.

Unless Acryte finds a way to get the odd mushroom on C right, in which case he can use BA to get the Ocarina, 3 medallions, and song, all in one go.

What item (if any) would give you song of time if it was on c-right? And if you got song of time and played it in the temple of time without any stones would it work. I think you said if so I didn't mean to ask something that has been covered.

Odd mushroom is for the three spiritual stones not the song of time. I am not THAT stupid.

The odd potion also gives you the Song of Time. Catch a bug with it on C-right to get all 3 stones and the song of time instantly. BTW, everyone, it's the Odd Potion, not the Odd Mushroom, that gives you spiritual stones.

After the 0 star run of Super Mario 64 I feel like there has to be a way to bypass getting all three spiritual stones. All that you need to do is get to that master sword and hit A. The way I see it there are three ways to do this 1. Get 3 Spiritual Stones 2. Get Song of Time 3. Glitch into the room the master sword is in

BA is the Bottle Adventure glitch, right?

Rattleman: yes, BA is Bottle Adventure. DaShiznawz: heh, I didn't know which item it was either but cf did mention the song in his post as well. As for getting into the room the master sword is in, do we even know if it part of the memory that's loaded? Not that it even seems possible unless link suddenly can BLJ up the steps! :P

I doubt it is possible but I know if you got in there you could pull the master sword and become an adult regardless of what you have done. It was tested using a gameshark code to have super speed that was fast enough to run through the door of time.

Well the point i dont get it .. Due overwriting bytes ( bufferoverflow ? ) you are able to equip items a way that gives you new items after time traveling ? o.o Wich new possibility gives you this knowlegde ? You only need to have new times on B to do this item change glitches or is there another need ? What is odd potion ? ( i already figured out what odd mushroom is) Why you need slingshot ? ( i read about the forest escape ) What parts of the game are skipable with all the current glitches ? Wich time could be reached with new-mupen-reset-version ? Can you give me clear zelda oot tas route ? I honestly wanne know everything about oot TAS , so pls explain some abbreviations and so on. Pls <3

Is there a video of that? superslide isn't fast enough?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkXbOOwvOYs Here's a quick video I just made. It starts from the very beginning of the game. Version is 1.0. Codes used: L to Levitate: D01C84B5 0020 811DAA90 40CB R to Run Super Fast: D01C84B5 0010 801DB258 0052

Reminds me of goldeneye how you can warp certain gaps easier with turbo mode on. Seems like there's a lot of things you could try, like backflip/sidehop, that's gotten past a lot of gaps. There's there's super flips and super slides. That infinite sword glitch super flip seems to warp you really fast, should give that a try. Then I remember a video someone getting huge speed boost off the forest giant's shockwave, looked faster than a super slide. Can you get boosted during a super slide and pick up more speed? If your doing something like a super flip it would probably require pixel perfect alignment with the crack in the door, but something like a superslide could move over the crack covering a span. Well, maybe the super flip could cover a small span since it moves you pretty far.

Or you know they way they get into Volvagia's room skipping the boss key (Volvagia = fire temple). Bomb hovering so high above the door and then just falling into the load zone behind the door. I guess I'll link to a youtube video showing this when I'll come back home and have access to youtube,...just try with the levitate gameshark thingy see if you can go through the door/celing if you hover high enough. EDIT: Here's that youtube link... Click Here! Or as spiderwaffle mentionned. Megaflip blows you away really fast. Maybe done at the correct angle it lets you through the door of time.[/url]
