sry, to interrupt into the 100% discussion, but as I said, I'd start a new all temples TAS. I'm finished with the rupee route and improved the rupee route of the RBA TAS by 150 frames. Those frames were saved by using a new route and using some quicker strategys at the rupee manipulation. It would be good, if everybody of you trys to make this m64 synch: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1696078323/OoT%20All%20Temples%20TAS.m64 It seems, that nobody can play it back succesfully apart from me, so I have to know, if that appears with all of you guys, too.
Happens for me, too... I tried several settings... With every ROM (1.0, 1.1 and 1.2) and different graphic Plugins. It synchs fine until you get the sword. But after that, it seems like you go in the Menu to Equip it, but instead you save the game and get hit by the Giant boulder -.- EDIT: I used Mupen ReRecording v8. Maybe it's an Emulator Problem. I had this back when the first OoT-Run came out. It didn't synched until (iirc Mukki) told me to use this rerecording version v.v

So the reason is, that I'm using an old mupen version?

COULD be the problem. Which version do you use? Afaik is Rerecording v8 the newest. I try to find some of the older ones and try it with them ;) EDIT: hmm... Tested it with a "normal" Mupen64 version (0,5) and it also didn't synch.

The saving thing happens if you use a version without pause fix..

You don't seem to have the needed version of Mupen and neither do I. I have no idea where to get it. It's somewhere out there. 1,2 That's all I could find out about it though. This WIP uses that version too. Again, I can't find a link to it anywhere.
It's played on a modified version of Mupen which has the pause bug fixed

I think i found the Solution. I'm pretty sure he's using the Mupen64+ version.
Needs to conform to the .m64 specs availible at http://tasvideos.org/M64.html Needs to support storing of AVI with proper OpenDML support. Current version of Mupen64-rerecording has an audio drift bug in win32. Soft reset feature that behaves as would a real N64. Fix Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time pause bug.
http://code.google.com/p/mupen64plus/issues/detail?id=58 The problem is, it's Mac/Linux only ._.

I won't re-do, because I've spend way too much time until all this luck manipulation stuff, that tooks all place in the beginning of the TAS like the peahat superslide and the rupee manipulation. just to prove, that I invested lots of work intot he rupee manipulation: I beat the RBA TAS by 35 frames just by manipulating better :P and I saved even more time by using a new rupee route, so I'm definately not going to re-do people will always have different mupen versions ;) I have mupen 64 0.5

MrGrunz, would you mind uploading to youtube or posting an AVI if you haven't done so already? I didn't see if you did or not, and I'm not 1 to deal with all the mupen stuffz! :O

Strange oO I tried it with my special Mupen64 0.5 version. It can play those "m64" files. But i desynchs like all the others.

The problem is that those who modified Mupen for rerecording never really changed the title bar nor the about dialog to read anything other than 0.5. My guess is that MrGrunz is using v8 with a patch applied, which I can't find. MrGrunz or ComicalFlop: can you just host your mupen exe on a file sharing site so I can grab and test? EDIT: Thanks for the build below. It gets further for me this time.

Thanks. ^^ However, it desynced for me when Link crawled back out of the hole. He then went to slash some bushes after which he read the big sign instead of cutting it in half. I used the same plugins and my version of the game has the correct checksum. Edit: Tried to activate the MemPak option which only made it desync earlier.

Can someone check to see if it's possible to superslide after performing the backflip bombchu trick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh4HVfpV-LM&feature=channel_page

you mean, doing an ESS after doing the recoil flip? doesn't work, because you have to be out of Z targetting, but that isn't possible here, because you have to use your shield while backflipping, what requieres Z targetting

I would love to see this be done 100% And to the "whats 100% in zelda" It depends.. Ill say.. 100% is, all items and upgrades, songs, ext... All temples (including Ice Cavern, the Bottom of the Well and the Gerudo Trainng Grounds)(LOL copy and past) I'm thinking of compasses and maps.. There kinda just on the way in every temple, you pretty much come across them.. Would it be so much harder to get them? Id say getting maps + compasses + the upgraded big sword should be called 102%

I'd be more interested in seeing a 102% TAS than a 100%. Plus, it allows the TAS'er to show off more, y'know.

IMO 100% should be maxed out inventory.

I agree with full inventory count, and I think the 37th heart piece should also be included because it will entertain anyone who doesn't know it's there, and it will be left out of any other run. So, yeah, 102% + heart piece. So what is that now, 103%?
