*Soulcalibur “Game objectives” is seriously misused… what’s 90% health about?

Had to vote Yes because I still love how ridiculous it is. Super cheap temp encode: Link to video I can't dump it properly (seems others have the same problem) so I just recorded it with my OBS setup.

Voting yes for how absurd those Cassandra and Voldo ringouts were. (Finally put it in the right thread this time! >_< )

Nice and quick, but I'm not sure about some of those settings. 1 round seems a bit cheap, in particular. Personally, I'd prefer a run that has more variety than just ringouts. You can put together some impressive combos in SCII, which we only get a glimpse of here. All that aside, it had its entertaining moments, enough to warrant a yes from me, though I'd still like more.

That's the standard for speed-based fighting game TASes here: Fastest possible settings, fastest possible completion.

why 90%? could it go lower or not?is this normal or fair?
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

It's a setting so yeah.
effort on the first draft means less effort on any draft thereafter - some loser

90% is the lowest it can go, and it's fair. It only affects the Inferno fight in this run, anyway.

Thanks Samsara for the temp encode! I'm not against it, but I also find it odd to change the default game settings for speed. As for the submission itself, I found it a bit amusing, but it was mostly due to the fast loading times of the emulator. Constant ring outs and defeating the last boss by spamming the same combo between phases don't look very impressive. I think a Weapon Master run would be more interesting on this regard.

Anyone else having trouble getting this to sync? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it keeps desyncing at the start of the first battle.

Silly fighting game speed TASes, I love 'em! Yes vote!
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

Nightmare OP, plz nerf. That ring-out on Cassandra reminded me of this, oddly enough. Voting yes for entertainment, though the syncing issues described here may cause problems with publishing this.
