Post subject: what if TASVideosChannel on YouTube gets copyright strikes?

I've been routing a game that has a lot of copyrighted music in it, and i've gotten lots of notices from youtube about the music in the videos i've uploaded. How would TASVideosChannel prevent parts of videos from being muted or removed in a tas they upload?

To avoid copyright notices (this is not the same thing as copyright strikes) or resulting country locks or other inconveniences related to that, the encoder would remove the offending audio from the encode before uploading the video. This has been done with, for example, Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. I don't think TVC has ever had a copyright strike. Given its unmanned status, it might possibly have silently received such (if it is not configured to an e-mail that anyone reads), but even so it would still be unlikely. I can't think of any TVC video that has actually been reported and taken down completely, which is what would potentially cause a strike.

We've had on rare occasion some issues at TVC. At one point they locked the channel down to only allow uploading short movies due to some conflicts they had. I pressed whatever buttons YT offered at the time to complain about the issue and linked them to my fair use page. The problem then went away a week later. Some of TVC's movies are blocked in certain countries, we haven't done anything to fight that.

This is a very late reply, I'm aware, but anyway... Considering our publishing team is still able to upload videos that are longer than 15 minutes to TASVideosChannel, I can safely say this did not cause an actual copyright strike, but a copyright notice. I'm speaking from experience myself, since I have a few videos uploaded to my own channel that have received copyright notices. However, I'm still able to upload videos that are longer than 15 minutes to my channel, since they're not copyright strikes.
