I began timeattacking Castlevania: Vampire's kiss recently. I don't know much about this game, but i know that it is an europian version of Castlevania X. I completed a timeattack of the first stage. I would like you guys to tell me what I should fix in this, does it look good? Here's the file: http://free-zd.htnet.hr/crocop/timeattacks/fortune-castlevaniavampireskiss.zip A timeattack was done in Snes9x 1.43+ that I found somewhere on these forums. You have to turn on WIP1 timing or it won't work correctly. The first stage was done in about 3 minutes, but I did not jump to save time or take damage to save time. Just tell me what you think.

If you do not jump to save time It's automaticly slower than the fastest version there is up to date.. I think? Gotta watch this when I get back from work.. And nowadays it's proven that backflipping is the fastest way to move around.. so I think there's a lot to improve.

What is your goal in this movie? If it is to beat the times in mine, then you are going to have to back-flip constantly, take damage, whip to cancel landing animations, kill cerebrus with two item crashes, get rid of the random pauses, whip when landing on stairs, not waste time getting the dagger and axe, not waste time getting hearts that are out of your way, end the level with zero hearts left, not attack the evil beast chasing you, use the american rom (Dracula X), among other things. If your goal isn't to beat my time, then disregard all of the above.

Sorry. I did not know what Dan_ has already done. I cancel the project. I'll move to RPG's. That is the only genreI'm good at.

Just because one person is working on a movie does not mean that you have to bow out.

Dan_ is a sharp player. No way I could compete with him. What do you guys think about Final Fantasy for NES? Are there any timeattacks of this game going on yet?

SSV, you aren't. You have to have the rom to watch it unless someone wants to encode and host the avi for you. And I don't see that happening anytime quickly, or slowly, or at all.

Your grammar has been less than exemplary, so I took it for a typo and a request.

Rondo of Blood was never on the SNES, silly. The japanese version of Castlevania : Dracula X was Akumajo Dracula XX, not Rondo of Blood. Rondo of Blood was the Japanese only game for the Turbo Duo. Look here for more information.

'qwit is probably asleep, and I cannot delete any but my last post. And you seem to be afraid of the Edit button, so I'll not dare expose you to it. So, are you going to work on this time attack or fill up the thread with things better reserved for the Off Topic boards. And if 'Qwit or a mod is reading this please regard this as a request to clear this thread of clutter.

Rondo of Blood and Dracula X/Vampire's Kiss do have some striking similarities, but they are not the same game. So far as I know, there are no Japan-only SNES Castlevania games.

Simlarities: Richter is one of the main characters, and they're both Castlevania games. That's about all that comes to mind :P
