About the Game
Improbability Fighter is a homebrew shoot-em-up released for the NES by Wendel Scardua in 2021. You must defeat 13 enemy fighters spread across 6 waves to win.

  • Contains a small dose of RNG manipulation
Wave 1
First, let's start talking about the fighter's physics. You can shoot once every 8 frames and can shoot 3 bullets in ~67 frame intervals.
The wave itself is pretty easy with 1 flying saucer.
Wave 2
This wave has 2 flying saucers instead of 1. Just as before, it's pretty easy.
Wave 3
In this wave, the "CHAOS" bar gets filled. This can turn you into 1 of 2 things: a tree or a Tetris block. The tree has 32 frame shooting intervals and can take down a fighter in 3 hits. The Tetris block has 8 frame shooting intervals in sets of 4 and can take down a fighter in 4 hits. The Tetris block is overall faster to use, so with some simple luck manipulation, my fighter becomes a Tetris block. This is much faster than your plain old fighter jet.
Anyway, there are 4 flying saucers in this level, making it pretty tough. However, with some very precise Tetris manoeuvres, I can clear it easily.
Wave 4
Now we've gone from saucers to big jets, with this level having 1. Really easy to take out with the Tetris block.
Wave 5
The chaos bar has been filled again, which means I have to switch back to my plain old fighter jet.
This wave has 2 big jets instead of 1. It's objectively exactly as difficult as Wave 3.
Wave 6
Here we go. This is the final wave.
This wave has 3 big jets instead of 2. It's the hardest and longest wave in the game.
However, Wave 6 is sped up at the last minute thanks to another filling of the chaos bar. I can shoot the last 3 bullets as a Tetris block and finish the game. Input ends when I shoot the final bullet on frame 2530.
Thanks for Reading!
If you find any improvements, I'll include you as a co-author.

Looks like you had some good info on TASing the game in your submission text before. You should restore it so it can help the next person who decides to TAS this.
