Quartet is a homebrew game by Mackerel Interactive, obtainable here: https://makrill.itch.io/quartet
The goal of the game is to create a face out of 4 pieces. Higher difficulties give more points, therefore "Hard" mode is used. More points are given if all the face pieces match. An extra "life" is obtained if the board is cleared, or extra points in case max lives is reached. Therefore, the fastest way to obtain points is to repeatably clear the board with a single face with all pieces matching.
To find the most optimal input, the game was simulated and all possible seeds were bruteforced to find the most optimal seed.
For code for simulating the game can be found here: https://github.com/CasualPokePlayer/quartet_sim

nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: Excellent piece of work. Unless there is something else about the score that I don't know, I think it is sad that it behaves the way it did...otherwise it would have been over on the first rollover. Aside from this strange occurrence, this game maxes out the score in a really good effort.
Accepting.
