Which emulator you used? FCE ULTRA
Which emulator settings? Regular
Do you use warps or passwords? NOPE
What kind of programming errors do you abuse in the game? NONE
Do you take hits? NOPE Do you use death? NOPE Do you quit+restart in the middle of the movie? NOPE
What are your aims? Fastest possible time. Maximum medals. 100% kills.
Please describe the game briefly. This game is one of the funnest games I will ever play for the NES. I bought this game at a SAMS CLUB over 8 years ago and come to find out its a rare game. Still own it on cartridge too. Anyways.
Please describe the making of the movie. I started recording last night and was going to do some cool stuff with the game but come to find out, if you get touched by ANYTHING, the recording will mess up and you have to start over. Thankfully I figured that out when I sobered up a little. What was hard? EHHHHHH MAYBE. Why would anyone like the result? Cause the computer gets stomped in every event.
It'd be great if you can also suggest the description for your movie (to be shown in the movie listing), if it will be published. This is optional:
1st event, Hurdles: I had to manipulate luck to its maximum here so i could defeat the cpu without having to cross the finishing line. It depends on how you hit him and when you hit him. I like hitting the cpu with a board and a spinning kick right when he hits the hurdle for an extra 5% or so damage (Not a big deal of damage though).
2nd event, Hammer Throw: This is a golfing type game where I had to buy a Rocket (which turns the hammer into a rocket and flies further in the air upon the throw) from the Sports Store to get the hammer in the hole by 4 throws. 4 throws is the minimum amount of throws you can do and I collected a lot of medals in doing that. Nothing special required here except for turbo.
3rd event, Swimming: This event was my hardest because the computer kept switching up on me in the water. I had to go to the Sports Store again and buy the Gum because it would help me stay underwater longer to murder the computer. 1/3 of the time the computer would not let me grab and punch him because he would punch me first so I had to use a kicking method on him to make him reset his order.
4th event, Roof Top Jumping: This event has to be the funnest because it requires good timing and you need to know whats the fastest way you can get across the building. I use a bike technique which is way faster than the pole vault and it helps me continue running at full speed.
Final event, Fighting Scene: Here there is not much to tell except that I use the Atomic Fireball because it takes off the most damage. 1/4 of the time the computer would start running away or try to attack me but figuring out a way to get around it was easy.
If you are wondering why I picked SOUTHSIDE as my team, it is because: 1: Its the first team. 2. Crash is badass.
ENJOY

Truncated: This run was not well received, and the it's very repetitititive. Even at 800% speed the movie seemed too long. Therefore, rejecting.

I dunno... I honestly think it's impressive in some aspects... but there's a lot lacking... I mean the Thwomping of the PC rocks and all... but noticing how many medals are missed out from doing it... [like the one at the end of the very first race]... and the fact you have to WAIT for the PC to mess up on their turn in the golfing events... and yet again all those medals missed out on.... and why Crash for every event? A bit of variety there woulda been cool there too.. even if he seems to be the best suited. It's fast, I'll grant you that... but a game like this is HONESTLY best left as a Play-around attempt rather then a pure TAS. Sorry :( Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

1. There is about 5% lacking of my game and its only in the 1st event due to when the computer gets up after I nail him and he rolls back on screen. Plus, Crash is the best player in the game. Thats why its called "CRASH" N' the Boys. HINT THE CRASH. If you dont notice how much my Atomic Fireball takes off the enemies(except for the final guy because he has mucho defence). 2. The PC HAS to play the game in order for the game to finish. 3. In order to get the fastest time i had to get the correct amount of medals. 4. If you keep pressing buttons at the end of the game you notice i get 45 more gold medals to my total. So that would equal my grand total of medals to be over 100. "It's fast, I'll grant you that... but a game like this is HONESTLY best left as a Play-around attempt rather then a pure TAS. Sorry :(" Track and Field is basically the same as this game but I get to kick the computers ass. If you havent played the game before then dont diss me on my speedrun. There are plenty of games that do not make sense and this game is one of the best for NES. If you think you can do better then time yourself.

You also ended your movie too early as well... I wish I had actually thought to have added that point, but no biggie.
Track and Field is basically the same as this game but I get to kick the computers ass.
Actually, you can do exactly that in T&F when racing the computer, Mind you, Street Challenge takes that a bit more literally.

On the contrary, I've played this game A LOT. I made no such attempt to "DISS" your run as you would put it, I merely stated my opinon why I felt this would be better put as more of a Play-Around rather then a Speedrun. It's not whether I feel I can do better or not, I simply expressed my feelings in an honest manner and you've chosen to take them out of context and in a manner of brashness to which they were not intended. I'm sorry you felt otherwise, but it does not change my thoughts. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I don't know the game before, but it looks funny. The movie looks good, but end to early as Mr. Kelly R. Flewin say. You must still press buttons at the end. And this is not good for a speedrun. It must end when you must press no button anymore. So I think it will maybe cancelled or rejected at all.

I thought it was good. I'd only add more variety. And end the movie later, after skipping the text.

Wow guano, you really know how to pick em. This game has the hilarious RCR-style animation, and it's very original. However, it gets old long before even this timeattack is done. Did they ever make that ice challenge? I forget, is that the best ending? Maybe it would be better as a playaround. Also, you do need to go through everything until the ending starts.

I suggest you make those changes so this one has chance of getting published. ex.: on the first competition, try using different moves to attack the enemy, and is it possible to instead of running just beat him up and win?

I can try but It takes more damge off if you get him out of the screen so thats why sometimes I will juggle him on the hurdles with a board and my spinning kicks. But Im working on another movie right now. Im just trying to find games that arent on the site.

>Im just trying to find games that arent on the site. This is not a good strategy to get published, if that is what you are trying to accomplish. Games with no prior published version are judged just as hard as videos with accepted submissions (or at least that's the goal). Spend more time perfecting your movies instead of making a lot different ones. That's going to raise your odds for a published submission a lot more than what you are doing now.

Yeah, what Truncated said. If a movie is already good enough to be published, a run beating that movie is almost certain to get published. If you find a game that hasn't been published before, it might be because no one has any interest in watching it.

left/right and up/down are probably enable-able devices found in the pull down menus.

The official version of FCEU does not have left+right support. You need a special version with this limitation removed. Snes9x with left+right support can be found in the Snes9x forum. You need to check the box in the control options which says "allow left+right" or something like that. Download links can be found trough the faq. Here: http://tasvideos.org/EmulatorHomepages.html

Thanks. I think i figured out what im doing. What i did is on my controller, I just put the same left, right, up, down, config the same as on the keyboard so i have 2 controllers doing the same thing. Am I doing this right? Here is what I think, If im moving right on a video game and want this RIGHT+LEFT/UP+DOWN config to work, would I continue to move right and start tapping left or completely press left? <-----That is the question that has been bothering me. What I mean is, on SLEEPZ time attack for SMB2, he just shoots up the ladder apparently with the UP+DOWN shit as described in the game breifing.

hold both left and right at the same time. its easiest to test using frame advance.
