Submission Text Full Submission Page
Which emulator you used? FCE ULTRA
Which emulator settings? Normal/Regular
Do you use warps or passwords? NOPE, Warps take way too long because its more of a carnival minigame. Completing the level was faster.
What kind of programming errors do you abuse in the game? NONE
Do you take hits? NOPE Do you use death? NOPE
What are your aims? Fastest possible time.
Please describe the game briefly. Fun Dominos game from back in the day. Still wish they had this character as their mascot.
Please describe the making of the movie. What was hard? Why would anyone like the result? The movie was pretty tough to make because of the Pizza Eating Contest after every other level, I had to get lucky and restart like 500 times just on the Contest's because I was trying to get the computer to pick 1-3 pizzas at a time. If he got a 5 or a 6, I would put Pepper or Sauce on his pizza to take away his points. Very lucky with the 1 pizza turns.

Bisqwit: Rejecting this submission for the reasons brought up in the discussion. <broken link>

Tell me what you guys think, I had to get a lot of the II and III things to beat the CPU in the Pizza Eating Contest.

A small suggestion: when you make submissions, do NOT directly copy/paste the submission questions, as it makes it look rather odd. A better summary for this submission might read as follows:
* FCE Ultra 0.98.12 * Aims for fastest possible time Yo! Noid is a fun Dominos game from back in the day (still wish they had this character as their mascot).

You dont have to make computer get as little pizza as possible, and if you use pepper and salt it will only make it longer. Let him eat, you wont lose because of that. I'll compare your run with my WIP of it and see the difference.

Although most of the run is done well (especially the luck manipulation on the pizza contests), I'm voting meh because this game is not suited well for a time attack. Plus there were some little errors (or at least it looked as such), like a pause on the first level, jumping off a box early on the third level, and a missed jump on the purple skyscraper level. Also the movie probably ends too early, from the guidelines or rules or whatever, because an extra button press is needed to advance past "I give! I give!" and get to the ending. The quote "You defeated all of my men. I'm the boss" is priceless, however.

I'm sorry, but your first pizza contest was very bad. you can do it in 2 moves. My time after pizza eating contest: 5057 frames Your time after pizza eating contest: 7417 frames PS.: On my run i didnt kill any enemy, i waited and dodged enemies instead of killing. This game is harder that way, I'm not sure if it's possible to finish it on a pacifist run, but i know a normal run can't be impressive. I watched your first level and you missed a shot. For those reasons i'm voting 'no'. Why didnt you redo the crash n the boys run?

Im just trying to make a video, if you think you can do better, then do it. The 2 latest games that I have done are not on the site and it would be nice to see. Newer games are funner to watch, dont try and beat time attacks by frames. I'm merely trying to send videos like Crash N' The Boys for entertainment purposes only. Im not trying to Time attack it or whatever.

The simple fact that a game is not featured on the site has little to nothing to do with it's chances of getting published btw, 7417 - 5057 = 2360 That is 39 seconds. just on the first level.

If your goal is entertainment, you should probably know that one of the key factors for a movie being entertaining (especially to us) is if it's completed as quickly as possible - the rest is using crazy maneuvers and exploiting bugs in the game to make it even faster.

Did you pull up the Calculator for that one? It doesnt matter anyways. I just like playing games and just sending them in. If they get rejected, then they get rejected. Let it be. I wanna record like Horse the Band or Everytime I Die over a time attack, so it sounds all crazy and shit.

Then you don't get the point of the site. The door's over thataway. Don't let it hit your ass on the way out. Beating older times by frames is a good thing, chief. Super Mario Brothers, anyone? It does not matter if the game is or is not listed on the site. What does matter is that you make the video as flawless and entertaining as possible while being as QUICK as possible. Does this compute? You're only doing it for 'entertainment purposes' and not trying to 'time attack' it? So you're basically being lazy. You want people to watch sub-par videos and don't feel like learning HTML and/or building your own website to STICK them on so you flush them into our queue? Can I ask you to explain that logic to us? New games are more fun to watch? I'd like to ask your logic on THIS statement, as well. You're saying that the TAS of Megaman 6 is more entertaining than the first game's run, basically. And while both are good watches, it's widely accepted than 6, as a game, blew goats with a fine cheese topping. Here's an idea, chief. Why don't you find a game that everyone likes and spend some time on that? Try to improve on one of the CURRENT movies by a sizable margin. Do -something-, don't just pick games at random, make your run without being as perfect as possible, and send it in. Me, I hated the Noid from the old Dominos commercials. I've played his game and would rather burn the experience from memory. Just to give you an idea on something I think most people would enjoy watching would be a Beetlejuice run. The game's painfully difficult and managing things precisely and going through the game without getting hurt would be fairly impressive. But it's gotta be quick and it's gotta look good. I'm sure I've come off pretty harsh, but I won't apologize. Every so often, someone comes along and submits random things, not quite getting the philosophy of the site in their mind before they go off and fiddle with some games. Takes tough skin and a good eye for what's entertaining to really get into this scene. By all means, keep trying at whatever games float your boat. Just keep in mind all I've said. Speed comes first, entertainment follows closely behind. If you can be stylish without sacrificing time, go for it. And that's all I've got to say about that.

Actually, guanobowl, you have to f**cking impress us if you want anything published here. If you just keep submitting lazy movies you'll get a ban i bet.

I'm glad you do, but please realize that the submission queue is for movies that are to be considered as material that will be published on this site. To accomplish that goal, you need to follow the Guidelines. If you are lazy and don't care, then your movies will be rejected and they are not welcome to the submission queue, for they take away the valuable time of the judges who could instead concentrate on publishing the awesome movies instead. Do you understand?

Then by all means, go on and record it, but keep it to yourself. When you start flooding my site with incompetent movies that you haven't really put effort in, you're getting on my (and other people involved) nerves. In other words, quantity does not compensate for quality.

Well yes you do. That's part of the entertainment you are talking about. If you don't intend to, you can use your own site instead of mine. Having said all of that, I wish to congratulate GuanoBowl for having submitted at least one good movie, even though by now it's obsolete. I'm now rejecting this submission for the following reasons: - It can be done a lot faster, as explained by Foda earlier in this thread. - It is slower than the existing submission, which was also rejected. - The game is very boring to watch.
