That revised route seems good. Not sure about being shorter, and how exiting from the west side sets up a better superslide because there's more distance to cover, but the saved tranisition scene I noticed. And nice maps :P

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking. Anyways, I've just entered East Clock Town so I'm about to get the chest. Also, none of the Happy Mask Shop owner's text could be skipped with A and B. Is this normal? I've noticed that you usually can't skip important text like that, however, it was in mwl's route so I thought I should ask.

I've made a very embarrassing and juvanile mistake. I'm currently working from movie file copy of copy of...m64. To make things tidier I stupidly renamed my movie file and now it is no longer in .m64 format but in 'file' format. When I play this file the movie still works perfectly, but it's not in .m64 anymore which may create a problem. Has this happened to anyone before, if so how can you fix it? EDIT -- Baxter -- bkDJ usually makes up AVI's but he is also having desync problems. I think i'll make up an AVI from entering clock town to my current position.

I would make AVI's since I've seent he whole thing no prob but I have a very limited hard drive on my laptop. I don't know if it being in just file format and not .m64 format is gonna be bad or not... hopefully you either A) did not progress to far or B) can change it back. If you've lost the file completely, you still have a WIP on the internet.

Since it was a m64 file initially, it will still act like one if you change it back. If it isn't unenabled already and the file type is binded to a program, go to windows explorer and choose tools, folder options then the view tab. Then unselect hide extensions for known file types. If it isn't binded to a program, just change the extension back.

Keep up the good work, Mukki! Also, a few trick videos. Here's the classic Zora Flying glitch. Still trying to ascertain whether height gain is possible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRFgoWpOPeA Here's a thing for the GBT. I'm not sure if it's faster than the alternative. Video of said alternative to come soon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6u0hl284MPg

Aha, that second video was a great technique. I can't believe it was missed. I'm pretty sure the Zora flying I initially saw was using a gameshark because flying very high in the air was displayed, as well as constant swimming.

Cannot wait to see it. This is one of my favourite games, together with the first Thief and Planescape Torment. Gonna comment after I see it. EDIT I like it. A lot. Good job.

I was trying to waste time. After the scarecrow dance I couldn't progress until midnight regardless of how fast I moved. I wasted time so that I would spend less time in south clock town after depositing the rupees.

This movie always desyncs at the file screen for me, even though I'm using the same ROM and the same plugins and I always delete the .fla file beforehand. What else can I do?

If you have created a save file in the game you have to delete it every time you want to watch the movie. That might be what it is.

Simple rule when watching this game. When a save file is first created its permanently stored until its deleted and not after its saved, so what I'd advise you to do (like I did) is to create a savestate the moment the power is switched on during the movie, and make the other ones when you get to clock tower and when the first cycle is done and then when the Goron mask is obtained etc. Mukki were you able to watch all my last movie without the game desyncing? since if thats the case then other people must have the wrong settings or either a slow or dodgy computer setup.

I watched your entire movie without problem. I even used it for comparison in places so it must just be everyone else...

I've seen all of Mukki's movie without any problems. Yes I have exact same settins and ROM, .fla file is deleted, and all game files are deleted as well. and AKA, I hate to bring up the avatar issue but yours is too big. it is nice though. You can save it to your desktop and crop it down to 80x80, and then upload it to tinypic.com as an 80x80 picture, which is what I did for mine.

I agree. Actually, I thought of that route too, but I failed to consider the angle at which you enter the mountains. You're absolutely right, and it's two transitions saved.

Here's demo video of what West Clock Town >> Termina >> Snow Mountain. Of course you'll quickly realise that I've done this in real time on PJ64, so its highly unoptimized if I'm putting it lightly. Here's some points 1. Go down the slope at a skewed angle 2. Whip out a bomb, do a blind backwalk towards the slope in Snow Mountain, and superslide at the last frame, this is mainly becuase of the leevers. The Dondongo can be manipulated to give a favourable collision boost. 3. I don't superslide here but superslide up the slope none the less 4. I was wrong about the navi text here, its probally best to backwalk, while whipping out a bomb and doing an endless sword technique on the bomb. 5. Back walk towards glacier, it might be better to do it so that Link is facing more towards Ikana on the left so you can quickly side-step to SnowMountain Here is the AVI

That was nice and really quite helpful. The super sliding angles look better than i thought they would.

That sounds pretty good, I'll review the demo. your avatar is much better :P if the Navi text doesn't work there, is it an absolute that it won't work anywhere else in this game? it'd be a good bomb saver Is it just me or wasting time to superslide everywhere not seem good? maybe backwalk out for short/mid distance until you have the perfect angle to superslide to the mountain, avoiding as much sliding against the wall as possible. I feel that for a short distance such as going up the slope that a superslide is not nescessary. only if for a straight line where the superslide outpaces backwalking in terms of time should it be used. I liked how you got through the ice. the last successful segment to flip trhough was done perfectly, and in real time.

Precisely. When Goron rolling becomes an option after this cycle, superslides will be used rather sparingly.

Hmm, i have yet to experiece any desyncs at all. I have it on my computer and have played through a lot of the parts of the game. I have mupen and MM at school and have beaten the game with as minimal things as possible using most of the savestates with a lot of saves..... hard to RElate with you guys! but then again i use the japenese version at school because the US one wouldnt start.. that might be why and im just lucky here at my house.. i dunno
