This is an example of a bad hack. I did this because with more and more people suggesting to see runs of hacks made, I figured we ought to see a hack that proves that not all hacks are good. This is a hack of SMB1 that is the funniest I've ever seen. The game remains the same, save the princess from Bowser (or Koopa) and live happily ever after. The only thing changed is the sprites, which is why I only did the first level. I'm not going to reveal anything about the sprites because I don't want to spoil anything. For some reason this hack would only work with Nesticle and Famtasia, so I chose the latter. You can get the run http://impact.megarpg.net/TM.fmvhere and the hack <url to ROM removed by Bisqwit> here. I think you will agree with me that while his hack is hilarious, it is a prime example of a bad hack.

I don't think this point needed to be posted.

Yah, perhaps the real motive wasn't actually to make an obvious point, but just that he'd like to show us Toilet Mario and the run he made, which is understandable. -hanzou

The point of this thread was to show a bad hack and to get a good laugh at the same time. I don't think it worked though.

The Air hack was granted a special, one-time exception because it was deemed an original hack (at least to this site) of concept art. Thus, you will never see any other bizarre hack published on this site. Yes, I agree. Bad hacks can be entertaining. But there are too many of them, and anyone can create a bad hack. Personally, I would expect a hack titled "Toilet Mario" to be offensive. Therefore, not watching.

Hmm, you know I never realized "Toilet Mario" could be offensive to anyone. Sorry to all that were offended. Maybe we could make a section for bad hacks, a place where people can make fake runs and laugh at poorly made hacks. That way they won't clog up the forums and get mistaken for real runs.

If you're ready to devote resources of your own website for running such site, go ahead, but I'm not taking part of it.

It's not so much offensive, but I'm not interested in what I expect are crude jokes. Sorry if you misunderstood me.

If this hack only changes sprites and nothing else, there's a good chance the existing movie will complete it just fine. Although, if it only works in Famtasia and Nesticle, maybe not.

yeah.. google it^^ its nothing but a more beautiful mario imho.. better designed tiles and sprites^^ i think the official version (which only work properly in famtasia and nesticle) has different level designs also.. but the hyper mario (final) [b1][o1] in fceu it has only tiles and sprites changes^^

Wow, that's really nice. The game looks too good for the NES.
