Since everyone was so helpful reuniting me with Trog a while back, I thought I'd give it another go. The game in question features bald monks wearing robes (or something like that) doing karate/martial arts. It can be played with one or two players simutaneously. I think player 1 is blue and player 2 is red. The game takes place on a non-scrolling screen that has a lot of green (grass) and off-white (temple/stone structure). When you jump, you do a flip in mid-air. You have some sort of karate moves you use to kill enemies that spawn periodically. I think there's some sort of power ups too. Oh, and it was for the NES.
I love Crystal Mines.

It's Super Chinese, translated (for some reason) as Kung-Fu Heroes. Also it is awesome and there's a GBA remake, Super Chinese 1+2.
