This is over 40 seconds faster than the current movie. A large part of this improvement came from discovering that there was a two frame window in which you can do a jump kick after an air dash without slowing down. This lets me to jump onto low boxes and over small pits without slowing down. I also take more damage than the previous movie and improved some of the boss fights.
This movie was made in snes9x 1.43+ v9 with WIP1 timing and left/right enabled.
Thanks to Dark Fulgore as I wouldn't have even heard of this game if it wasn't for his movie; several of his Boss strategies were of great assistance to me.

adelikat: Accepting for publication as an improvement to the current movie.

I find it pretty amazing you saved 40 seconds knowing you jump and move to the right 99% during the whole game :) Nice first TAS. Voted yes.

I haven't seen the runs for this game (nor the game, itself, for this matter) before. Also, could someone explain me the reason for inconsistencies in jumping/attacking? I've failed to see a general pattern between those actions, it seemed almost as if you alternated between jumpkicks and sword thrusts at your own discretion. Do they provide the same movement speed? Also, why do you run into wall for a few frames at the beginning of a stage around frame 14000?

Could someone explain me the reason for inconsistencies in jumping/attacking? I've failed to see a general pattern between those actions, it seemed almost as if you alternated between jumpkicks and sword thrusts at your own discretion. Do they provide the same movement speed? The jump+sword is slower than the jump+kick. But it seemed to me that jump+kick doesn't let you choose a height/distance, so he had to do jump+sword on some places. And also, by his description, you have to start with a jump+sword and then switch to jump+kick just to keep the momentum... I'm not sure I saw that on the movie, so I'm going with what he says. Also, why do you run into wall for a few frames at the beginning of a stage around frame 14000? In this game, you can walk but you can't jump until the stage has really started.

The walking at the start of the stage is actually forced, your input isn't used at that point. As for the types of jump. Jump+sword is necessary for jumping over enemies/tall objects as the jump+kick doesn't allow you to gain enough hight. The two different types of jump have the same horizontal speed, though you slow down if you just use a regular jump (necessary for gaining hight). You can also change form a jump+kick to a jump+sword in mid air. This doesn't effect your horizontal velocity but resets your vertical velocity, alowing for longer jumps and more precice positioning. I tend to use the jump+kick as often as possible just because it requires less input. It only saves time when using it to jump up onto/over low obsticles.

This has already been published, but I've voted yes a well. Although the game is not too well know, this was a very entertaining run.
