• Uses fceu 0.98.16
  • Genre: Adventure/Platform
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Re-uses some levels
  • Abuses programming errors in the game
  • Manipulates luck.
This run is a 76 seconds improvement, 4559 frames, over Walker Boh's old run which re-uses levels. The run itself is 34525 frames long, 09:35.42 minutes.
It doesn't introduce anything new that wasn't used in my full TAS of this game.
This run of Wizards & Warriors uses the re-use levels trick, where the player cuts through the forest in level 5 to return to level 1, and instead of playing the castle levels, re-plays level 1 - 3. Killing the level 3 boss makes the player complete the game. This also makes the player complete one level less than done in the full run, since level 6 does not have a boss.
The 4 first levels are re-played, and eventually faster than they were in my full TAS, so they are NOT identical to my other run. The first 4 levels are about 500 frames faster than in the full TAS. The replayed levels looks different than the first time I went through them due to changed luck manipulation, or different routes (Such as the one in level 2, which could not be done the first time around, but was a lot faster).
Not much to say other than that I discovered that the game has a 30-isch frame rule at the end of each level that I was not aware of during the creation of the full TAS.
Mostly thanks to phunqsauce for watching through all the WIPs all the time and giving me some suggestions.
Enjoy.

Okay then, update e-mailed. It came out a few frames faster as well. Yay. Well this better work, I'll leave for town now, but if it doesn't work, then I guess I'll have to give it another try when I get back home. EDIT: Yayzor, it works :D Thank you very much. I'll update the submission text when I get home then (To get the frame numbers correct etc).

Excellent run on this excellent game. I still remember playing this game for hours on end at least 17 years ago - this movie makes we want to go back and play it again. If only I wasn't at work :(
