Fantastic run as expected. I particularly enjoyed the vertical sky level (スカイツリー) which is just entirely broken and the second-to-last level (てんごく) which has great autoscroller entertainment. Great work guys.

Oh I was eagerly waiting for this and it didn't disappoint ! Excellent work ! Very surprising solutions all along ! I enjoyed it very much. One quick question though, why did you get rid of Yoshi at the end of the maze since you get it back at the beginning of the very next level ?

Yoshi will make the pipe exit as slow as the loss of getting Yoshi back at the next level. So riding Yoshi off is faster by the amount of lag difference, 10 frames or so.

The two secret "stages" are just a boss rush (of old Kaizo bosses) and a bonus room. They're not especially interesting, unfortunately. Anyway, excellent job on the run! I was certainly surprised by some of your ideas.

Thank you, Mister and ISM, that was tremendously awesome! To be honest, I shouted "wow" to the screen several times. There are way many tricks I never seen or heard before. I love autoscrollers and boss fights especially. :)

I hope this will be submitted. The hack looks good (I especially liked Bowser), though sadistic, and the TAS was entertaining and used impressive strategies. I think it is publication worthy even if there are potential improvements - there usually is. This was one of the most entertaining TASes I have seen.

Hey everybody, I have been TASing for a month now and I tried to make a Kaizo Mario World TAS. It was good IMO, and I'm proud of it. Hi Mvf314, While not bad for a first attempt, unfortunately TASVideos' standards of publication are much higher and go beyond just using rerecording to play through a game flawlessly. This goes especially for a game based on an engine as exhaustively analyzed as the Super Mario World engine. As an example, take a look at this KMW1 TAS, which completes the game over 3 minutes faster. You can see that despite all the crazy limitations that the game's design enforces, the player is still able to find alternate solutions to levels that enable it to be completed much faster than intended. This is obviously very hard to do, and I believe the authors worked on the TAS for at least a year. Sorry for having to provide negative feedback, but don't worry about it. I did the exact same thing years ago when I was new to the site. I admit that the realization of how much work goes into making a fully fledged TAS was quite daunting, but everyone starts out that way. If you want to continue TASing, feel free to continue uploading feedback videos here. Over the years the TASVideos community has also gathered numerous tips and tricks, which for Super Mario World games can be found here. Best of luck!

I recommend using the Lua script to help you in the making... Did you use it? What about amaurea's comparison Lua script? But my best advice right now is: get ride of Snes9x and use Lsnes or Bizhawk. If you don't use Windows, Lsnes is portable and can be compiled in Mac or Linux.

Yeah ok, I didn't use a Lua script. Also, I tried Lsnes but it seems so... complicated. I guess I'll give it another try :)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to get the fucking ips file patch to work! And I've searched everywhere for an actual rom, but I can't fucking find it! Ugh... All I do is click on apply IPS patch, select kaizo mario, and then select super mario world. It even says it's succesful! But when I load it in ZSNES, it says "bad rom" Can someone put me out of my misery? -Arie2002, a guy who hopes to play Kaizo

Uhm... I can't seem to find a rom with those thingy's... EDIT: Omfg thank you!!! My rom did not seem to have a header, so I found a program called TUSH which was able to add one. I can't thank you enough!
