On my Signature as of 11/10/07, shows the games I wouldn't bother attempting a Speed Run of. And I have reasons why: Bebe's Kids (SNES): Gameplay is soooo slow. Last Action Hero (SNES): The second level in the game is impossible for me to beat because of the time limit and the hit detection is bad. Adventures of Yogi Bear (SNES): Another game with bad hit detection with noticeable differences when comparing to Super Mario Bros. [Edited by AngerFist: I edited the topic title].

I always thought the idea of having a signature is so that you would have a place to communicate to other people your personal thoughts, without having to start a thread. A thread to explain a signature just boggles my mind.

Wouldn't that actually make it a good candidate for TASing, or is it just ones only you wouldn't do?

Did you say this just because they're bad games? Bad games make entertaining TASes. Just see the Revenge of the Sinister Six TAS.

...maybe someone asked him about his signature...? @_@ just in case anyone asks... I like batman because: He is awesome He is manly He has no superhuman powers, thus making a bad ass super-hero He wears a pointy mask and cape now you know things about me that you really don't care about... congrats guys! o/\o

I prefer to judge super heroes on the hotness of the women that they date, or have an unspoke sexual tension with. So batman is way up there due to Selena Kyle (skin tight catsuit cannot score below an 7), however I'd have to cast my vote for Spider-man (simply cuz Mary Jane is not only hawt, but also a fun drug). And because the thread would be worthless without pics: And yes, this is an attempt to derail a totally irrelevant thread with something a tiny bit more redeaming

Sadly, this did not go over well for the movie Catwoman (Hallie Berry [or however you spell her name] played the leather clad vixen) Coincidentally, I work at a movie theater during school breaks, and opening day of catwoman there were 30, single, fat, balding, couldn't-care-less-about-bathing grown men in the auditorium... it smelt awful... thank god i wasn't lucky enough to find any male residue left over from the hour and a half skin tight leather action! And yes, I do believe Michelle Pfeiffer played a way better catwoman than halle berry

I can think of at least 5 things off the top of my head slower then this inane game of crappiness, and this reply is one of them.
Last Action Hero (SNES): The second level in the game is impossible for me to beat because of the time limit and the hit detection is bad.
Nothing is impossible... hell, Anime alone has proven that quite true on a lot of cases. And TAS'ing the 2nd level means bad hit detection is your friend.. or second cousin four times removed ^^
Adventures of Yogi Bear (SNES): Another game with bad hit detection with noticeable differences when comparing to Super Mario Bros.
But then by coming up with this revelation, does it mean you're smarter then the average bear? And where do you get off presuming a bear's intellect, let alone what it is of an average bear? Does Yogi know of Super Mario Bros. at all? Does he know of these noticeable differences when comparing? And comparing to what? Frankly, I think your plea was self felt justification for posting a demand for 3 games to be TAS'd because you feel they're impossible and you don't want to take the time to learn how to TAS them yourself. Or the Flintstone chewables are past their expiry date.. one of the two... Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

If you want a REALLY crappy TAS, run lemmings. I did the first 10 or so levels once, and no matter what you do, it takes forever for the damn things to walk to the end.

I must agree, Batman is a pretty good superhero. I think it's because he's not invincible. Since this is "explain your signature". I stole the two halves of my signature from two places. The first is a quote of a quote from someone's online journal back before Liejournal was popular, like in 1997 or somewhen around there, it's pretty self-explanatory. The second is from an amazing fan video made in late 2001 by AC-Promenade about "What if River City Ransom was remade?" which eventually culminated in rereleases and ports of the best Kunio titles to GBA (and that video was totally awesome.. it's here on Youtube).
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

In my opinion, listing merely 3 games that you would not consider tasing does not warrant creating a topic. But, I will take the liberty and edit the topic title so that it appeals to everyone and to more games. I'll also move this to the off-topic section. If there is already a similar topic there then Bisqwit could be so kind and eventually merge them.

He was probably hoping others would list games as well :P Edit: A topic which would list games/idea suitable for TASing (that haven't been done yet) would be more useful (although it could very well be that such a topic already exists... either way, the ListOfIdeas seems outdated.

So wait, should I be explaining my signature, listing games that you would likely claw your own eyes out while attempting to TAS, or listing games that would be flat-out boring to watch? You're confusing me in ways I can't understand! ;_; ( o>.<)-o Q('.'Q ) Kirby boxes... for justice!

I think RCR EX ruined the fun of the original game...

One game I think would make for a bad TAS is Castellian for the Gameboy. It's a sort of platformer where you play this biped pig mutant thing that needs to not fall its way up a bunch of towers. At first I thought it would be a great TAS candidate because it's annoyingly difficult (for instance, if you're standing on an edge and decide to turn around, you'll fall. And you can't walk backwards, you have to turn around to backtrack), but after trying it with save-states I reached the conclusion that it's annoyingly boring as well.
