• Aims for fastest time
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Abuses programming errors in the game
  • Manipulates luck
  • Plays at normal mode
  • Emulator used VBA-rerecording20.0
The run improves pirate_sephiroth's warp glitch run. I don't want to compare the two runs, because they are played in different mode. Bosses are stronger in hard mode, need more time to fight them, but dialogues can't be skipped in normal mode, so it spends more time too. I think that starting from power-on is better for an any% run. Thanks all previous authors of cvaos movies for their contributions at first.
Main improvement: faster movement, this is obvious; warped to other area by nearer shortcut; skipped some needless souls.
I took damage intentionally in order to make Lubicant's soul more powerful, I know it was not a good idea, but it didn't lose time anyway.

NesVideoAgent: Hi! I am a robot. I took a few screenshots of this movie and placed them here. Oh! I also corrected the ROM name.
  • You indicated Castlevania - Aria of Sorrow (U).gba

Me to, AoS is by far the most interesting CV game on GBA and that run is horribly outdated. Though as of now my anticipation for an all-souls-run is greater.

Blame Yrr for disappearing from the site. His run was a pretty grand improvement (though not perfect), and he only had a few minutes left on it.

I think he is quite busy now and can't afford such time to manipulate luck in AoS.

Yeah, nice run, nice use of sinking glitch without Black Panther. But I don't like that route, and what do you have against the red Minotaur soul?

I must kill a Killer Mantle if I want to get the soul, go to Red Minotaur's room and kill it, but the soul is used once only and it needs too much MP, I don't think it's a time saver. Maybe it's worth in hard mode, but in normal mode it isn't, so I skipped it.

Well, that's really a complicated matter, but Red Minotaur + Great Armor would save some time damaging the four little eyes of Chaos. There's a Killer Mantle in the middle of the way, and the Red Minotaur isn't the hardest soul to get plus it gives some good exp.

Finally got around to watching it. My graphics card decided to uninstall itself... Fantastic run though. I remember camping out in front of alot of those mobs hoping their soul would drop... and you, of course, got it first try.
I think i've watched about 70% of the TAS's on this site... It's become one of the first sites I check daily for updates. I'm going to start posting more.

Hi, its me again. Nice movie, good use of glitches and new techniques. However I spotted a couple of mistakes throughout the run, mainly the climbing-up-stairs-parts. What I want to say on my own run: I love to see the run finished, however I restarted the run at least 5 times, and everytime and new technique made the outdated. So gradually I got annoyed by the game, this is why I didn't anymore for the game. I hope I will find enough patience one time to start and finish this damn game. Btw, is this movement in the movie the optimal one?

Yrr, glad seeing you reply, you are back. :) The LAB-movement is same as klmz's. We've tested the LR-movement, this one is fastest. Good luck with your run, I look farword to it.
