If we put these two dolphins in a slobber-knocker event, who do you think would win? This is almost similar as X (Mega Man) taking on Samus Aran.

Also, Samus would win. X can never harm a human being, whereas Samus will take anyone out if there's a price on their head.

Not to mention Ecco has a Sonar of DEATH! So indeed, Ecco could literally talk Flipper to death. I'm with Upthorn: This matchup isn't fair in the slightest. Intergalactic ocean warrior vs. Lassie of the Sea? Yeah. Not even the talking dolphin from Seaquest would stand a chance.

Hypothetically speaking, if Ecco, the digital dolphin, were to die - something which theoretically he may never do - he just loses a life. Being an analog dolphin, Flipper will inevitably die at some point in time, never to return again. Ecco wins.

I hate to disappoint but that "coolest moment" only exists in the English version. In the Japanese, when Wily says Rock can't actually shoot him, he puts his Buster away and stays silent, then the room starts collapsing.
