In this game, you takes the role of Pitfall Harry Jr., son of the hero of the original game, who has to find his kidnapped father. Genesis and Super Nintendo versions of game are different because there are level layout changes and the Super Nintendo version has boss skip glitches.I think the controls of Genesis version are very good and responsive in difference from Super Nintendo version.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: Gens v2.12 Movie 9z
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Genre: Platform

I used powerups, jump tehniques, tricks and shortcuts to do this speedrun more fast and entertaining. Also I used every collected exploding stones, boomerangs and sling stones. In level 8 (Mine Ride) I collected 150 gold coins (I think it is maximum possible result).
It is hard to me write anything else because of my bad english.
I hope somebody will be enjoy this run.

mmbossman: Doesn't seem to be much enthusiasm for this run, likely due to the fact that there's already the SNES published run which is very similar to this. I don't think the inclusion of two extra levels is noteworthy enough to warrant a publication of this game on another console, so I'm rejecting this run. Better luck next time.

Not a bad movie, beelzebub! However, I think the existing SNES version is superior in many aspects. Voting meh.

I enjoyed this movie, but it reminded me a great amount of the SNES version that we had published recently. What are the major differences between this movie and that one, other than the fact that you can skip two bosses in the SNES version? And if there aren't many differences, why should this movie be published also? I also noticed that you seem to have missed at least a couple of coins on the mine ride. Not that it matters much, but it was noticeable.

The main differences: 1) Some shortcuts are unique for Genesis version of game. 2) Genesis version of level with mine ride has little different game mechanics. There is a jump tehnique that allow you jump fast from platform to platform. Also i discovered in Genesis version a glitch with jumping through mine carts. These factors makes this level much more fun to watch. 3) My ammunition strategy. There is a limited quantity of an ammunition which it is possible to collect on a route. I have thought up as it is possible, using this limited quantity of an ammunition, to make fights with bosses the fastest. About coins that i missed - they can not be collected. I checked it certainly.
