Alright, I'm running this on PSXjin v2.0.2, available here It desyncs because it uses accurate Dual Shock emulation from v2.0.2. Also, I noticed your controller issue in that thread - controller plugins have been removed in v2.0.2. You can turn on accurate dual shock emulation via the analog hack.

Ya that plugin-less version still had issues with my controller, recognized it during button configs, but doesn't work at all in game. The movie didn't desync when I played it with the version you link, I watched it up until after you receive your seed rank from the communication tower. I didn't have time for the rest. I tried to make a savestate but the game glitched and I couldn't continue from the save state.....known bug?

If I had to pick a favorite part I would say renting the car. and clipping through the train door in true tas fashion. I like how different the Ifrit battle ended up compared to the first test run. Is Enc-None possible/worth getting?

I select Enc-None as diablos learned item right before the Seifer/Edea battle in Disc 1. I won't actually get it until around halfway through disc 2

I would if I knew how. I usually use fraps but I'm pretty sure psxjin's video output is something other than directdraw. I don't know proper settings for the internal avi recorder.

No need to delete the ones that you put up earlier, might prove an interesting history of the run.

I can't seem to encode this run... PSXJin keeps freezing at a certain frame (during the dance scene MDEC, near the end). Note: the frame counter keeps progressing, even the lag counter keeps occasionally incrementing, so it seems it's still working. The frame number you're seeing is well beyond the point where the game freezes. My settings: Have you ever had a problem like this, DarkKobold? Any idea of what I could do to fix this? I tried to do it twice, but it froze up at the same frame twice.

WHen I watched it got past that point, no idea if it does with encoding enabled. PSXJin seems to be riddled with bugs unfortunately :(.

How do I skip through the first 3 hours? I found you can hold turbo and deselect the window then let go of turbo to keep it in turbo mode while you work on other things on your computer. I tried fraps in windows 7 with capturing the entire desktop. While this sort of works with psxjin windowed there are still the menus and borders. It should be under 400GB with fraps' slight compression. Currently watching...

I just realized I have no idea how to swap discs while a movie file is playing.

It will prompt you to select the disc, then you need to unpause.

You're much better off using PSXjin's internal recording feature and then splicing together the resulting videos, by the way.

I need to pause the video playback somewhere? I clicked open disc from the file menu when the insert disc screen came up and chose disc 2. Video playback stopped and the disc 2 demo loop started to play

What codec and settings do I use along with it? Default setting clearly didn't work. How do I remove the "file" toolbar from the window?

You stopped playback - you need to use the window that opens on its own.

I guess I jumped the gun. I really cant figure out the internal recorder. Every setting looks terrible. Splicing the audio in seems time consuming as well.

Don't worry about it then, I'll encode disc 2 overnight.

I fell asleep somewhere on disc 2. It's not quite as entertaining as disc 1...
