Max Payne is a neo-noir third-person shooter that was developed by Remedy Entertainment and was initially released for Microsoft Windows PC in 2001 before seeing ports to other Mac OS and other video game consoles. It is best known for its signature use of "bullet time", where the game's speed slows down and Max Payne himself can jump around and shoot with much more ease. One of the video game consoles the game was ported to was the Game Boy Advance, which replaces the third-person view with an isometric one and adjusts the levels to match the new view and fit under the console's limitations.
For this run, toca completes Max Payne's quest for revenge in record time through liberal use of a brute force program called AdvancedBot and a number of really useful glitches, particularly an ammo underflow glitch where Max Payne can start a level with an ammo count above the cap. For more info on how AdvancedBot works and how the many glitches were used, you can read the author's notes.
The baseline tab shows the default movie beating the game as fast as possible without any special conditions.
